d4724213c8 regulator: dt-bindings: mt6357: Drop fixed compatible requirement
commit 9cfdd7752b upstream.

Some of the regulators on the MT6357 PMIC currently reference the
fixed-regulator dt-binding, which enforces the presence of a
regulator-fixed compatible. However since all regulators on the MT6357
PMIC are handled by a single mt6357-regulator driver, probed through
MFD, the compatibles don't serve any purpose. In fact they cause
failures in the DT kselftest since they aren't probed by the fixed
regulator driver as would be expected. Furthermore this is the only
dt-binding in this family like this: mt6359-regulator and
mt6358-regulator don't require those compatibles.

Commit d77e89b7b0 ("arm64: dts: mediatek: mt6357: Drop regulator-fixed
compatibles") removed the compatibles from Devicetree, but missed
updating the binding, which still requires them, introducing dt-binding
errors. Remove the compatible requirement by referencing the plain
regulator dt-binding instead to fix the dt-binding errors.

2701384722 regulator: dt-bindings: mt6315: Drop regulator-compatible property
[ Upstream commit 08242719a8 ]

The "regulator-compatible" property has been deprecated since 2012 in
commit 13511def87 ("regulator: deprecate regulator-compatible DT
property"), which is so old it's not even mentioned in the converted
regulator bindings YAML file. It should not have been used for new
submissions such as the MT6315.

Drop the property from the MT6315 regulator binding and its examples.

f31f012d79 Fix issue when using devm_of_regulator_put_matches and
Merge series from Alina Yu <alina_yu@richtek.com>:

There are two types of LDO VOUT: fixed voltage mode and adjustable voltage mode.

As the fixed voltage for the LDO is outside the range of the adjustable voltage mode,
the constraints for this scenario are not suitable to represent both modes.
Therefore, A property is added to specify the fixed LDO VOUT.

In this version, a software bug has been fixed.
rtq2208_ldo_match is no longer a local variable.
It prevents invalid memory access when devm_of_regulator_put_matches is called.

Pull regulator updates from Mark Brown:
"There's one API update here, a new API factoring out a common pattern

b6d4b3500d regulator: dt-bindings: fixed-regulator: Add a preferred node name
Define "regulator-[0-9]v[0-9]" as the preferred node name for fixed
regulators. Other suffixes with names are also accepted. Combined,
these make up about half of the existing names in use.

For now this only serves as documentation as the schema still allows
anything to avoid lots of additional warnings for something low priority
to fix. Once a "no deprecated" mode is added to the tools, warnings can
be enabled selectively.

02ec75edaa dt-bindings: treewide: add access-controllers description
access-controllers is an optional property that allows a peripheral to
refer to one or more domain access controller(s).

Description of this property is added to all peripheral binding files of
the peripheral under the STM32 firewall controller. It allows an accurate
representation of the hardware, where various peripherals are connected
to a firewall bus. The firewall can then check the peripheral accesses
before allowing its device to probe.

759e2bd969 regulator: dt-bindings: Add 'regulator-uv-less-critical-window-ms' property
Introduces a new devicetree property to specifies the time window (in
milliseconds) following a critical under-voltage (UV) event during which
less critical actions can be safely carried out by the system.

Less Critical Actions:
- Logging the under-voltage event for later analysis.
- Saving less critical data that may be useful for diagnosing issues or
  for audit purposes.

More Critical Actions (post the less critical window):
- Initiating procedures to properly shutdown hardware to prevent damage.

The 'regulator-uv-less-critical-window-ms' property is crucial for
conveying board-specific hardware characteristics, not for enforcing a
certain policy. The time window represented by this property is derived
from the physical attributes of the hardware like the capacity of
on-board capacitors, the power consumption of the components, and the
time needed to safely shut down hardware to prevent damage. These
attributes can significantly vary between different boards, making it a
board-specific property rather than a policy directive.

By providing a precise representation of the time available for less
critical actions post an under-voltage event, this property enables the
kernel to make informed decisions on action prioritization, ensuring
that essential preventative measures are taken to avoid hardware damage
while also allowing for data capture and analysis.
