When error is injected with the ERR_FORCE register, then this register
is not auto cleared on clearing the ERR_STATUS register. This causes
repeated interrupts on error injection. To fix, set the ERR_FORCE to
zero along with clearing the ERR_STATUS register after handling error.

The syscon helper device_node_to_regmap() is used to fetch a regmap
registered to a device node. It also currently creates this regmap
if the node did not already have a regmap associated with it. This
should only be used on "syscon" nodes. This driver is not such a
device and instead uses device_node_to_regmap() on its own node as
a hacky way to create a regmap for itself.
This will not work going forward and so we should create our regmap
the normal way by defining our regmap_config, fetching our memory
resource, then using the normal regmap_init_mmio() function.

rtkit messages as communication with the DCP firmware for framebuffer
swaps or input events are time critical so use WQ_HIGHPRI to prevent
user space CPU load to increase latency.
With kwin_wayland 6's explicit sync mode user space load was able to
delay the IOMFB rtkit communication enough to miss vsync for surface
swaps. Minimal test scenario is constantly resizing a glxgears
Xwayland window.

When some client process A call pdr_add_lookup() to add the look up for
the service and does schedule locator work, later a process B got a new
server packet indicating locator is up and call pdr_locator_new_server()
which eventually sets pdr->locator_init_complete to true which process A
sees and takes list lock and queries domain list but it will timeout due
to deadlock as the response will queued to the same qmi->wq and it is
ordered workqueue and process B is not able to complete new server
request work due to deadlock on list lock.
Fix it by removing the unnecessary list iteration as the list iteration
is already being done inside locator work, so avoid it here and just
call schedule_work() here.

The static global soc_uid is only ever used as kasprintf() parameter in
imx8m_soc_probe(). Pass pointer to local u64 variable to .soc_revision()
callback instead and let the .soc_revision() callback fill in the content.
Remove the unnecessary static global variable.

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart
from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks.
To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return
void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to
.remove_new() which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers
are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove().
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

On MSM8916 devices, the serial number exposed in sysfs is constant and does
not change across individual devices. It's always:
db410c:/sys/devices/soc0$ cat serial_number

The firmware used on MSM8916 exposes SOCINFO_VERSION(0, 8), which does not
have support for the serial_num field in the socinfo struct. There is an
existing check to avoid exposing the serial number in that case, but it's
not correct: When checking the item_size returned by SMEM, we need to make
sure the *end* of the serial_num is within bounds, instead of comparing
with the *start* offset. The serial_number currently exposed on MSM8916
devices is just an out of bounds read of whatever comes after the socinfo
struct in SMEM.
Fix this by changing offsetof() to offsetofend(), so that the size of the
field is also taken into account.

A device_node acquired via of_find_node_by_path() requires explicit
calls to of_node_put() when it is no longer needed to avoid leaking the
resource.
Instead of adding the missing calls to of_node_put() in all execution
paths, use the cleanup attribute for 'np' by means of the __free()
macro, which automatically calls of_node_put() when the variable goes
out of scope.

In success case, the revision holds a non-null pointer. The current
logic incorrectly returns an error for a non-null pointer, whereas
it should return an error for a null pointer.
The socinfo driver for IPQ9574 and IPQ5332 is currently broken,
resulting in the following error message
qcom-socinfo qcom-socinfo: probe with driver qcom-socinfo failed with
error -12
Add a null check for the revision to ensure it returns an error only in
failure case (null pointer).

Linux does not write into cmd-db region. This region of memory is write
protected by XPU. XPU may sometime falsely detect clean cache eviction
as "write" into the write protected region leading to secure interrupt
which causes an endless loop somewhere in Trust Zone.
The only reason it is working right now is because Qualcomm Hypervisor
maps the same region as Non-Cacheable memory in Stage 2 translation
tables. The issue manifests if we want to use another hypervisor (like
Xen or KVM), which does not know anything about those specific mappings.
Changing the mapping of cmd-db memory from MEMREMAP_WB to MEMREMAP_WT/WC
removes dependency on correct mappings in Stage 2 tables. This patch
fixes the issue by updating the mapping to MEMREMAP_WC.
I tested this on SA8155P with Xen.

With "quiet" set in bootargs, there is power domain failure:

The current power on opertation takes ISO state as power on finished
flag, but it is wrong. Before powering on operation really finishes,
powering off comes and powering off will never finish because the last
powering on still not finishes, so the following powering off actually
not trigger hardware state machine to run. SSAR is the last step when
powering on a domain, so need to wait SSAR done when powering on.
Since EdgeLock Enclave(ELE) handshake is involved in the flow, enlarge
the waiting time to 10ms for both on and off to avoid timeout.

Dan pointed out that Smatch is concerned about this code because it uses
spin_lock_irqsave() and then calls wait_event_lock_irq() which enables
irqs before going to sleep. The comment above the function says it
should be called with interrupts enabled, but we simply hope that's true
without really confirming that. Let's add a might_sleep() here to
confirm that interrupts and preemption aren't disabled. Once we do that,
we can change the lock to be non-saving, spin_lock_irq(), to clarify
that we don't expect irqs to be disabled. If irqs are disabled by
callers they're going to be enabled anyway in the wait_event_lock_irq()
call which would be bad.
This should make Smatch happier and find bad callers faster with the
might_sleep(). We can drop the WARN_ON() in the caller because we have
the might_sleep() now, simplifying the code.

We only convert to a pointer type as a generic type. If we want to send
a dummy message of 0, then simply send 0 (NULL).

When the dts file has multiple referrers to a single PD (e.g.
simple-framebuffer and dss nodes both point to the DSS power-domain) the
ti-sci driver will create two power domains, both with the same ID, and
that will cause problems as one of the power domains will hide the other
one.
Fix this checking if a PD with the ID has already been created, and only
create a PD for new IDs.

Each RPMh VRM accelerator resource has 3 or 4 contiguous 4-byte aligned
addresses associated with it. These control voltage, enable state, mode,
and in legacy targets, voltage headroom. The current in-flight request
checking logic looks for exact address matches. Requests for different
addresses of the same RPMh resource as thus not detected as in-flight.
Add new cmd-db API cmd_db_match_resource_addr() to enhance the in-flight
request check for VRM requests by ignoring the address offset.
This ensures that only one request is allowed to be in-flight for a given
VRM resource. This is needed to avoid scenarios where request commands are
carried out by RPMh hardware out-of-order leading to LDO regulator
over-current protection triggering.

smp_call_function_single disables IRQs when executing the callback. To
prevent deadlocks, we must disable IRQs when taking cgr_lock elsewhere.
This is already done by qman_update_cgr and qman_delete_cgr; fix the
other lockers.
