Fenglin Wu ce0503f825 Input: pm8xxx-vibrator - correct VIB_MAX_LEVELS calculation

The output voltage is inclusive hence the max level calculation is
off-by-one-step. Correct it.

iWhile we are at it also add a define for the step size instead of
using the magic value.

Christoffer Sandberg 4c775b4cd8 Input: soc_button_array - add mapping for airplane mode button
commit ea3715941a upstream.

This add a mapping for the airplane mode button on the TUXEDO Pulse Gen3.

While it is physically a key it behaves more like a switch, sending a key
down on first press and a key up on 2nd press. Therefor the switch event
is used here. Besides this behaviour it uses the HID usage-id 0xc6
(Wireless Radio Button) and not 0xc8 (Wireless Radio Slider Switch), but
since neither 0xc6 nor 0xc8 are currently implemented at all in
soc_button_array this not to standard behaviour is not put behind a quirk
for the moment.

Javier Carrasco 2efe67c581 Input: powermate - fix use-after-free in powermate_config_complete
commit 5c15c60e7b upstream.

syzbot has found a use-after-free bug [1] in the powermate driver. This
happens when the device is disconnected, which leads to a memory free from
the powermate_device struct.  When an asynchronous control message
completes after the kfree and its callback is invoked, the lock does not
exist anymore and hence the bug.

Use usb_kill_urb() on pm->config to cancel any in-progress requests upon
device disconnection.

Jeff LaBundy eb17c3d005 Input: iqs7222 - configure power mode before triggering ATI

If the device drops into ultra-low-power mode before being placed
into normal-power mode as part of ATI being triggered, the device
does not assert any interrupts until the ATI routine is restarted
two seconds later.

Solve this problem by adopting the vendor's recommendation, which
calls for the device to be placed into normal-power mode prior to
being configured and ATI being triggered.

The original implementation followed this sequence, but the order
was inadvertently changed as part of the resolution of a separate
erratum.

Caleb Connolly 03b2c470a1 Input: pm8941-powerkey - fix debounce on gen2+ PMICs

Since PM8998/PM660, the power key debounce register was redefined to
support shorter debounce times. On PM8941 the shortest debounce time
(represented by register value 0) was 15625us, on PM8998 the shortest
debounce time is 62us, with the default being 2ms.

Adjust the bit shift to correctly program debounce on PM8998 and newer.

Luca Weiss df3b7e337d Input: drv260x - sleep between polling GO bit

Hans de Goede 2e8ebf1a44 Input: soc_button_array - add invalid acpi_index DMI quirk handling

Some devices have a wrong entry in their button array which points to
a GPIO which is required in another driver, so soc_button_array must
not claim it.

A specific example of this is the Lenovo Yoga Book X90F / X90L,
where the PNP0C40 home button entry points to a GPIO which is not
a home button and which is required by the lenovo-yogabook driver.

Add a DMI quirk table which can specify an ACPI GPIO resource index which
should be skipped; and add an entry for the Lenovo Yoga Book X90F / X90L
to this new DMI quirk table.

Jeff LaBundy fa25c90ee9 Input: iqs7222 - report malformed properties

Nonzero return values of several calls to fwnode_property_read_u32()
are silently ignored, leaving no way to know the properties were not
applied in the event of an error.

Solve this problem by evaluating fwnode_property_read_u32()'s return
value, and reporting an error for any nonzero return value not equal
to -EINVAL which indicates the property was absent altogether.

Jeff LaBundy 201d1baa9a Input: iqs7222 - drop unused device node references

Each call to device/fwnode_get_named_child_node() must be matched
with a call to fwnode_handle_put() once the corresponding node is
no longer in use. This ensures a reference count remains balanced
in the case of dynamic device tree support.

Currently, the driver never calls fwnode_handle_put(). Solve this
problem by moving the node handling from iqs7222_parse_props() to
the new iqs7222_parse_reg_grp(), leaving the former to do nothing
but parse properties. The latter then manages the reference count
in a single location and consistent fashion.

This change drastically simplifies iqs7222_parse_all(), which can
then call iqs7222_parse_reg_grp() on every register group without
having to treat each register group differently.

For nested event nodes, common parsing code has been factored out
to the new iqs7222_parse_event() so as to allow the event node to
be dropped from as few locations as possible.

As part of this refactor, the 'linux,code' property has been made
optional. This enables applications that define an event with the
sole purpose of enabling a GPIO.

Jeff LaBundy a7e8439e29 Input: iqs7222 - protect against undefined slider size

Select variants of silicon do not define a default slider size, in
which case the size must be specified in the device tree. If it is
not, the axis's maximum value is reported as 65535 due to unsigned
integer overflow.

To solve this problem, move the existing zero-check outside of the
conditional block that checks whether the property is present.

Hans de Goede e13757f524 Input: soc_button_array - add Acer Switch V 10 to dmi_use_low_level_irq[]
Like on the Acer Switch 10 SW5-012, the Acer Switch V 10 SW5-017's _LID
method messes with home- and power-button GPIO IRQ settings, causing an
IRQ storm.

Add a quirk entry for the Acer Switch V 10 to the dmi_use_low_level_irq[]
DMI quirk list, to use low-level IRQs on this model, fixing the IRQ storm.

Hans de Goede 8e9ada1d0e Input: soc_button_array - add use_low_level_irq module parameter
It seems that the Windows drivers for the ACPI0011 soc_button_array
device use low level triggered IRQs rather then using edge triggering.

Some ACPI tables depend on this, directly poking the GPIO controller's
registers to clear the trigger type when closing a laptop's/2-in-1's lid
and re-instating the trigger when opening the lid again.

Linux sets the edge/level on which to trigger to both low+high since
it is using edge type IRQs, the ACPI tables then ends up also setting
the bit for level IRQs and since both low and high level have been
selected by Linux we get an IRQ storm leading to soft lockups.

As a workaround for this the soc_button_array already contains
a DMI quirk table with device models known to have this issue.

Add a module parameter for this so that users can easily test if their
device is affected too and so that they can use the module parameter
as a workaround.

Jeff LaBundy d56111ed58 Input: iqs7222 - set all ULP entry masks by default
Some devices expose an ultra-low-power (ULP) mode entry mask for
each channel. If the mask is set, the device cannot enter ULP so
long as the corresponding channel remains in an active state.

The vendor has advised setting the mask for any disabled channel.
To accommodate this suggestion, initially set all masks and then
clear them only if specified in the device tree.

Add a driver to get the button events from the panel and provide
them to userspace with the input subsystem. The panel is
connected with I2C and controls the bus, so the driver registers

Uwe Kleine-König ed5c2f5fd1 i2c: Make remove callback return void
The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored.
(Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the
error is ignored.)

So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This
way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to
the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly.
There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to
return 0 before.

Jeff LaBundy 8635c68891 Input: iqs7222 - handle reset during ATI
If the device suffers a spurious reset during ATI, there is no point
in enduring any further retries. Instead, simply return successfully
from the polling loop.

In this case, the interrupt handler will intervene and recognize the
device has been reset. It then proceeds to initialize the device and
trigger ATI once more.

As part of this change, swap the order of status field evaluation to
match that of the interrupt handler, and correct a nearby off-by-one
error that causes an error message to suggest the final attempt will
be retried.

Jeff LaBundy 2e70ef525b Input: iqs7222 - acknowledge reset before writing registers
If the device suffers a spurious reset while reacting to a previous
spurious reset, the second reset interrupt is preempted because the
ACK_RESET bit is written last.

To solve this problem, write the ACK_RESET bit prior to writing any
other registers. This ensures that any registers written before the
second spurious reset will be rewritten.

Last but not least, the order in which the ACK_RESET bit is written
relative to the second filter beta register is important for select
variants of silicon. Enforce the correct order so as to not clobber
the system status register.

Jeff LaBundy 1e4189d8af Input: iqs7222 - protect volatile registers
Select variants of silicon silently mirror part of the event mask
register to the system setup register (0xD0), and vice versa. For
the following sequence:

1. Read registers 0xD0 onward and store their contents.
2. Modify the contents, including event mask fields.
3. Write registers 0xD0 onward with the modified contents.
4. Write register 0xD0 on its own again later, using the contents
   from step 1 to populate any reserved fields.

...the event mask register (e.g. address 0xDA) has been corrupted
by writing register 0xD0 with contents that were made stale after
step 3.

To solve this problem, read register 0xD0 once more between steps
3 and 4. When register 0xD0 is written during step 4, the portion
which is mirrored to the event mask register already matches what
was written in step 3.

Jeff LaBundy 95215d3d19 Input: iqs7222 - fortify slider event reporting
The release cycle of any key mapped to a slider gesture relies upon
trailing interrupts generated by other unmasked sources, the timing
and presence of which are inconsistent.

To solve this problem, explicitly report a release cycle to emulate
a full keystroke. Also, unmask touch interrupts if the slider press
event is defined; this ensures the device reports a final interrupt
with coordinate = 0xFFFF once the finger is lifted.

As a result of how the logic has been refactored, the press/release
event can now be mapped to a GPIO. This is more convenient than the
previous solution, which required each channel within the slider to
specify the same GPIO.

As part of this change, use the device's resolution rather than its
number of interrupt status registers to more safely determine if it
is capable of reporting gestures.

Last but not least, make the code a bit simpler by eliminating some
unnecessarily complex conditional statements and a macro that could
be derived using information that is already available.

Jeff LaBundy 56a0c54c4c Input: iqs7222 - correct slider event disable logic
If a positive swipe/flick gesture is defined but the corresponding
negative gesture is not, the former is inadvertently disabled. Fix
this by gently refactoring the logic responsible for disabling all
gestures by default.

As part of this change, make the code a bit simpler by eliminating
a superfluous conditional check. If a slider event does not define
an enable control, the second term of the bitwise AND operation is
simply 0xFFFF.

Marius Hoch 6ab2e51898 Input: soc_button_array - also add Lenovo Yoga Tablet2 1051F to dmi_use_low_level_irq
Commit 223f61b8c5 ("Input: soc_button_array - add Lenovo Yoga Tablet2
1051L to the dmi_use_low_level_irq list") added the 1051L to this list
already, but the same problem applies to the 1051F. As there are no
further 1051 variants (just the F/L), we can just DMI match 1051.

Tested on a Lenovo Yoga Tablet2 1051F: Without this patch the
home-button stops working after a wakeup from suspend.

Juergen Gross 49f8b459fc xen: switch gnttab_end_foreign_access() to take a struct page pointer
Instead of a virtual kernel address use a pointer of the associated
struct page as second parameter of gnttab_end_foreign_access().

Most users have that pointer available already and are creating the
virtual address from it, risking problems in case the memory is
located in highmem.

gnttab_end_foreign_access() itself won't need to get the struct page
from the address again.

David Collins be8fc023ef Input: pm8941-pwrkey - simulate missed key press events
The status of the keys connected to the KPDPWR_N and RESIN_N pins
is identified by reading corresponding bits in the interrupt real
time status register.  If the status has changed by the time that
the interrupt is handled then a press event will be missed.

Maintain a last known status variable to find unbalanced release
events and simulate press events for each accordingly.

David Collins 0b65118e6b Input: pm8941-pwrkey - add software key press debouncing support
On certain PMICs, an unexpected assertion of KPDPWR_DEB (the
positive logic hardware debounced power key signal) may be seen
during the falling edge of KPDPWR_N (i.e. a power key press) when
it occurs close to the rising edge of SLEEP_CLK.  This then
triggers a spurious KPDPWR interrupt.

Handle this issue by adding software debouncing support to ignore
key events that occur within the hardware debounce delay after the
most recent key release event.
