Driver wants to nack the IBI request when the target is not in the
known address list. In below code, svc_i3c_master_nack_ibi() will
cause undefined behavior when using AUTOIBI with auto response rule,
because hw always auto ack the IBI request.
switch (ibitype) {
case SVC_I3C_MSTATUS_IBITYPE_IBI:
dev = svc_i3c_master_dev_from_addr(master, ibiaddr);
if (!dev || !is_events_enabled(master, SVC_I3C_EVENT_IBI))
svc_i3c_master_nack_ibi(master);
...
break;
AutoIBI has another issue that the controller doesn't quit AutoIBI state
after IBIWON polling timeout when there is a SDA glitch(high->low->high).
1. SDA high->low: raising an interrupt to execute IBI ISR
2. SDA low->high
3. Driver writes an AutoIBI request
4. AutoIBI process does not start because SDA is not low
5. IBIWON polling times out
6. Controller reamins in AutoIBI state and doesn't accept EmitStop request
Emitting broadcast address with IBIRESP_MANUAL avoids both issues.

Clang is a little more pedantic than GCC, which does not warn when
falling through to a case that is just break or return. Clang's version
is more in line with the kernel's own stance in deprecated.rst, which
states that all switch/case blocks must end in either break,
fallthrough, continue, goto, or return. Add the missing break to silence
the warning.

If two devices (A and B) are detected in DAA and address 0xa is assigned to
device A and 0xb to device B, a failure in i3c_master_add_i3c_dev_locked()
for device A (addr: 0xa) could prevent device B (addr: 0xb) from being
registered on the bus. The I3C stack might still consider 0xb a free
address. If a subsequent Hotjoin occurs, 0xb might be assigned to Device A,
causing both devices A and B to use the same address 0xb, violating the I3C
specification.
The return value for i3c_master_add_i3c_dev_locked() should not be checked
because subsequent steps will scan the entire I3C bus, independent of
whether i3c_master_add_i3c_dev_locked() returns success.
If device A registration fails, there is still a chance to register device
B. i3c_master_add_i3c_dev_locked() can reset DAA if a failure occurs while
retrieving device information.

According to I3C Spec 1.1.1, 11-Jun-2021, section: 5.1.2.2.3:
If the Controller chooses to start an I3C Message with an I3C Dynamic
Address, then special provisions shall be made because that same I3C Target
may be initiating an IBI or a Controller Role Request. So, one of three
things may happen: (skip 1, 2)
3. The Addresses match and the RnW bits also match, and so neither
Controller nor Target will ACK since both are expecting the other side to
provide ACK. As a result, each side might think it had "won" arbitration,
but neither side would continue, as each would subsequently see that the
other did not provide ACK.
...
For either value of RnW: Due to the NACK, the Controller shall defer the
Private Write or Private Read, and should typically transmit the Target
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Address again after a Repeated START (i.e., the next one or any one prior
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
to a STOP in the Frame). Since the Address Header following a Repeated
START is not arbitrated, the Controller will always win (see Section
5.1.2.2.4).
Resend target address again if address is not 7E and controller get NACK.

In an In-Band Interrupt (IBI) handle, the code logic is as follows:
1: writel(SVC_I3C_MCTRL_REQUEST_AUTO_IBI | SVC_I3C_MCTRL_IBIRESP_AUTO,
master->regs + SVC_I3C_MCTRL);
2: ret = readl_relaxed_poll_timeout(master->regs + SVC_I3C_MSTATUS, val,

...
3: ibitype = SVC_I3C_MSTATUS_IBITYPE(status);
ibiaddr = SVC_I3C_MSTATUS_IBIADDR(status);
SVC_I3C_MSTATUS_IBIWON may be set before step 1. Thus, step 2 will return
immediately, and the I3C controller has not sent out the 9th SCL yet.
Consequently, ibitype and ibiaddr are 0, resulting in an unknown IBI type
occurrence and missing call I3C client driver's IBI handler.
A typical case is that SVC_I3C_MSTATUS_IBIWON is set when an IBI occurs
during the controller send start frame in svc_i3c_master_xfer().
Clear SVC_I3C_MSTATUS_IBIWON before issue SVC_I3C_MCTRL_REQUEST_AUTO_IBI

MSTATUS[RXPEND] is only updated after the data transfer cycle started. This
creates an issue when the I3C clock is slow, and the CPU is running fast
enough that MSTATUS[RXPEND] may not be updated when the code reaches

Add a wait for MSTATUS[COMPLETE] to ensure that all mandatory data is
already in FIFO. It also works without mandatory data.

The `i3c_master_bus_init` function may attach the I2C devices before the
I3C bus initialization. In this flow, the DAT `alloc_entry`` will be used
before the DAT `init`. Additionally, if the `i3c_master_bus_init` fails,
the DAT `cleanup` will execute before the device is detached, which will
execue DAT `free_entry` function. The above scenario can cause the driver
to use DAT_data when it is NULL.

I3C masters are expected to support hot-join. This means at initialization
time we might not yet discover any device and this should not be treated
as a fatal error.
During the DAA procedure which happens at probe time, if no device has
joined, all CCC will be NACKed (from a bus perspective). This leads to an
early return with an error code which fails the probe of the master.
Let's avoid this by just telling the core through an I3C_ERROR_M2
return command code that no device was discovered, which is a valid
situation. This way the master will no longer bail out and fail to probe
for a wrong reason.

The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.
