A COM existential contains an interface pointer without a Swift witness table. Projecting it as a native class existential misinterprets that representation, and a successful QueryInterface can return a different interface address. Materialize source and destination storage for the general dynamic-cast entry point and load the returned COM interface pointer. Take the source on success; a conditional failure leaves it for the caller to destroy. Initialize the destination to null so a failed query produces the scalar cast's failure result, and preserve the existing optional-source nil check.
