Configuring wallabag via app/config/parameters.yml for the database (and other settings) is deprecated. In wallabag 3.0, parameters.yml support will be removed entirely and DATABASE_URL must be provided as a real environment variable.

The check fires at container-compilation time whenever DATABASE_URL is absent from the process environment, which is the reliable signal that the fallback env(DATABASE_URL) constructed from parameters.yml values is being used.

The test environment is excluded because Dotenv::bootEnv() populates $_ENV and $_SERVER but not the process environment (it defaults to usePutenv=false). As a result, getenv('DATABASE_URL') returns false in test runs even when .env.test is loaded correctly, making the heuristic a false positive for every developer running the test suite.
