8451aa6694 selftests/sgx: Fix linker script asserts

DEFINED only considers symbols, not section names. Hence, replace the
check for .got.plt with the _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_ symbol and remove other
(non-essential) asserts.

79aadf6492 selftests/bpf: Fix issues in setup_classid_environment()

If the net_cls subsystem is already mounted, attempting to mount it again
in setup_classid_environment() will result in a failure with the error code
EBUSY. Despite this, tmpfs will have been successfully mounted at
/sys/fs/cgroup/net_cls. Consequently, the /sys/fs/cgroup/net_cls directory
will be empty, causing subsequent setup operations to fail.

Here's an error log excerpt illustrating the issue when net_cls has already
been mounted at /sys/fs/cgroup/net_cls prior to running
setup_classid_environment():

6aad081470 selftests/bpf: Fix pyperf180 compilation failure with clang18

With latest clang18 (main branch of llvm-project repo), when building bpf selftests,

The compilation failure only happens to cpu=v2 and cpu=v3. cpu=v4 is okay
since cpu=v4 supports 32-bit branch target offset.

The above failure is due to upstream llvm patch [1] where some inlining behavior
are changed in clang18.

To workaround the issue, previously all 180 loop iterations are fully unrolled.
The bpf macro __BPF_CPU_VERSION__ (implemented in clang18 recently) is used to avoid
unrolling changes if cpu=v4. If __BPF_CPU_VERSION__ is not available and the
compiler is clang18, the unrollng amount is unconditionally reduced.

58485b95fd selftests: mlxsw: qos_pfc: Adjust the test to support 8 lanes

'qos_pfc' test checks PFC behavior. The idea is to limit the traffic
using a shaper somewhere in the flow of the packets. In this area, the
buffer is smaller than the buffer at the beginning of the flow, so it fills
up until there is no more space left. The test configures there PFC
which is supposed to notice that the headroom is filling up and send PFC
Xoff to indicate the transmitter to stop sending traffic for the priorities
sharing this PG.

The Xon/Xoff threshold is auto-configured and always equal to
2*(MTU rounded up to cell size). Even after sending the PFC Xoff packet,
traffic will keep arriving until the transmitter receives and processes
the PFC packet. This amount of traffic is known as the PFC delay allowance.

Currently the buffer for the delay traffic is configured as 100KB. The
MTU in the test is 10KB, therefore the threshold for Xoff is about 20KB.
This allows 80KB extra to be stored in this buffer.

8-lane ports use two buffers among which the configured buffer is split,
the Xoff threshold then applies to each buffer in parallel.

The test does not take into account the behavior of 8-lane ports, when the
ports are configured to 400Gbps with 8 lanes or 800Gbps with 8 lanes,
packets are dropped and the test fails.

Check if the relevant ports use 8 lanes, in such case double the size of
the buffer, as the headroom is split half-half.

348112522a mlxsw: spectrum_acl_tcam: Fix stack corruption

When tc filters are first added to a net device, the corresponding local
port gets bound to an ACL group in the device. The group contains a list
of ACLs. In turn, each ACL points to a different TCAM region where the
filters are stored. During forwarding, the ACLs are sequentially
evaluated until a match is found.

One reason to place filters in different regions is when they are added
with decreasing priorities and in an alternating order so that two
consecutive filters can never fit in the same region because of their
key usage.

In Spectrum-2 and newer ASICs the firmware started to report that the
maximum number of ACLs in a group is more than 16, but the layout of the
register that configures ACL groups (PAGT) was not updated to account
for that. It is therefore possible to hit stack corruption [1] in the
rare case where more than 16 ACLs in a group are required.

Fix by limiting the maximum ACL group size to the minimum between what
the firmware reports and the maximum ACLs that fit in the PAGT register.

Add a test case to make sure the machine does not crash when this
condition is hit.

87c5403393 mlxsw: spectrum_acl_erp: Fix error flow of pool allocation failure

Lately, a bug was found when many TC filters are added - at some point,
several bugs are printed to dmesg [1] and the switch is crashed with
segmentation fault.

The issue starts when gen_pool_free() fails because of unexpected
behavior - a try to free memory which is already freed, this leads to BUG()
call which crashes the switch and makes many other bugs.

Trying to track down the unexpected behavior led to a bug in eRP code. The
function mlxsw_sp_acl_erp_table_alloc() gets a pointer to the allocated
index, sets the value and returns an error code. When gen_pool_alloc()
fails it returns address 0, we track it and return -ENOBUFS outside, BUT
the call for gen_pool_alloc() already override the index in erp_table
structure. This is a problem when such allocation is done as part of
table expansion. This is not a new table, which will not be used in case
of allocation failure. We try to expand eRP table and override the
current index (non-zero) with zero. Then, it leads to an unexpected
behavior when address 0 is freed twice. Note that address 0 is valid in
erp_table->base_index and indeed other tables use it.

gen_pool_alloc() fails in case that there is no space left in the
pre-allocated pool, in our case, the pool is limited to
ACL_MAX_ERPT_BANK_SIZE, which is read from hardware. When more than max
erp entries are required, we exceed the limit and return an error, this
error leads to "Failed to migrate vregion" print.

Fix this by changing erp_table->base_index only in case of a successful
allocation.

Add a test case for such a scenario. Without this fix it causes
segmentation fault:

fbcc37f4b4 selftests/sgx: Skip non X86_64 platform

When building whole selftests on arm64, rsync gives an erorr about sgx:

The root casue is sgx only used on X86_64, and shall be skipped on other
platforms.

Fix this by moving TEST_CUSTOM_PROGS and TEST_FILES inside the if check,
then the build result will be "Skipping non-existent dir: sgx".

5daf0ef626 selftests/powerpc: Fix error handling in FPU/VMX preemption tests

The FPU & VMX preemption tests do not check for errors returned by the
low-level asm routines, preempt_fpu() / preempt_vsx() respectively.
That means any register corruption detected by the asm routines does not
result in a test failure.

Fix it by returning the return value of the asm routines from the
pthread child routines.

80eb449f80 selftests: secretmem: floor the memory size to the multiple of page_size

The "locked-in-memory size" limit per process can be non-multiple of
page_size.  The mmap() fails if we try to allocate locked-in-memory with
same size as the allowed limit if it isn't multiple of the page_size
because mmap() rounds off the memory size to be allocated to next multiple
of page_size.

Fix this by flooring the length to be allocated with mmap() to the
previous multiple of the page_size.

This was getting triggered on KernelCI regularly because of different
ulimit settings which wasn't multiple of the page_size.  Find logs

b60187f610 selftests/resctrl: Move _GNU_SOURCE define into Makefile

_GNU_SOURCE is defined in resctrl.h. Defining _GNU_SOURCE has a large
impact on what gets defined when including headers either before or
after it. This can result in compile failures if .c file decides to
include a standard header file before resctrl.h.

It is safer to define _GNU_SOURCE in Makefile so it is always defined
regardless of in which order includes are done.

28436d8092 selftests/resctrl: Reduce failures due to outliers in MBA/MBM tests
commit ef43c30858 upstream.

The initial value of 5% chosen for the maximum allowed percentage
difference between resctrl mbm value and IMC mbm value in

commit 06bd03a57f ("selftests/resctrl: Fix MBA/MBM results reporting
       format") was "randomly chosen value" (as admitted by the changelog).

When running tests in our lab across a large number platforms, 5%
difference upper bound for success seems a bit on the low side for the
MBA and MBM tests. Some platforms produce outliers that are slightly
above that, typically 6-7%, which leads MBA/MBM test frequently
failing.

Replace the "randomly chosen value" with a success bound that is based
on those measurements across large number of platforms by relaxing the
MBA/MBM success bound to 8%. The relaxed bound removes the failures due
the frequent outliers.

In the PMTU test, when all previous tests are skipped and the new test
passes, the exit code is set to 0. However, the current check mistakenly
treats this as an assignment, causing the check to pass every time.

Consequently, regardless of how many tests have failed, if the latest test
passes, the PMTU test will report a pass.

b01b9dc548 selftests/resctrl: Ensure the benchmark commands fits to its array

Benchmark command is copied into an array in the stack. The array is
BENCHMARK_ARGS items long but the command line could try to provide a
longer command. Argument size is also fixed by BENCHMARK_ARG_SIZE (63
bytes of space after fitting the terminating \0 character) and user
could have inputted argument longer than that.

Return error in case the benchmark command does not fit to the space
allocated for it.

2d2300fcf8 selftests/pidfd: Fix ksft print formats

Compiling pidfd selftest after adding a __printf() attribute to
ksft_print_msg() and ksft_test_result_pass() exposes -Wformat warnings
in error_report(), test_pidfd_poll_exec_thread(),
child_poll_exec_test(), test_pidfd_poll_leader_exit_thread(),
child_poll_leader_exit_test().

The ksft_test_result_pass() in error_report() expects a string but
doesn't provide any argument after the format string. All the other
calls to ksft_print_msg() in the functions mentioned above have format
strings that don't match with other passed arguments.

Fix format specifiers so they match the passed variables.

Add a missing variable to ksft_test_result_pass() inside
error_report() so it matches other cases in the switch statement.

aea3801c23 kselftest/runner.sh: Propagate SIGTERM to runner child

Timeouts in kselftest are done using the "timeout" command with the
"--foreground" option. Without the "foreground" option, it is not
possible for a user to cancel the runner using SIGINT, because the
signal is not propagated to timeout which is running in a different
process group. The "forground" options places the timeout in the same
process group as its parent, but only sends the SIGTERM (on timeout)
signal to the forked process. Unfortunately, this does not play nice
with all kselftests, e.g. "net:fcnal-test.sh", where the child
processes will linger because timeout does not send SIGTERM to the
group.

Some users have noted these hangs [1].

Fix this by nesting the timeout with an additional timeout without the
foreground option.

The test expects the child thread to complete some steps before
the parent thread gets to run. There is an implicit expectation
of the order of invocation of futex_lock_pi between the child thread
and the parent thread. Make this order explicit. If the order is
not met, the futex_lock_pi call in the parent thread succeeds and
will not timeout.

The leak was introduced when fill_cache_read() started to return errors
in commit c7b607fa93 ("selftests/resctrl: Fix null pointer
dereference on open failed"), before that both fill functions always
returned 0.

Move free() earlier to prevent the mem leak.

b2ba11ed4d selftests/resctrl: Make resctrl_tests run using kselftest framework

In kselftest framework, all tests can be build/run at a time,
and a sub test also can be build/run individually. As follows:
$ make kselftest-all TARGETS=resctrl
$ make -C tools/testing/selftests run_tests
$ make -C tools/testing/selftests TARGETS=resctrl run_tests

However, resctrl_tests cannot be run using kselftest framework,
users have to change directory to tools/testing/selftests/resctrl/,
run "make" to build executable file "resctrl_tests",
and run "sudo ./resctrl_tests" to execute the test.

To build/run resctrl_tests using kselftest framework.
Modify tools/testing/selftests/Makefile
and tools/testing/selftests/resctrl/Makefile.

Even after this change, users can still build/run resctrl_tests
without using framework as before.

7207ee323a selftests: mirror_gre_changes: Tighten up the TTL test match

This test verifies whether the encapsulated packets have the correct
configured TTL. It does so by sending ICMP packets through the test
topology and mirroring them to a gretap netdevice. On a busy host
however, more than just the test ICMP packets may end up flowing
through the topology, get mirrored, and counted. This leads to
potential spurious failures as the test observes much more mirrored
packets than the sent test packets, and assumes a bug.

Fix this by tightening up the mirror action match. Change it from
matchall to a flower classifier matching on ICMP packets specifically.

7e1dc94b2d nexthop: Fix infinite nexthop bucket dump when using maximum nexthop ID

A netlink dump callback can return a positive number to signal that more
information needs to be dumped or zero to signal that the dump is
complete. In the second case, the core netlink code will append the
NLMSG_DONE message to the skb in order to indicate to user space that
the dump is complete.

The nexthop bucket dump callback always returns a positive number if
nexthop buckets were filled in the provided skb, even if the dump is
complete. This means that a dump will span at least two recvmsg() calls
as long as nexthop buckets are present. In the last recvmsg() call the
dump callback will not fill in any nexthop buckets because the previous
call indicated that the dump should restart from the last dumped nexthop
ID plus one.

85af0b226c selftests: forwarding: tc_flower: Relax success criterion
commit 9ee37e53e7 upstream.

The test checks that filters that match on source or destination MAC
were only hit once. A host can send more than one packet with a given
source or destination MAC, resulting in failures.

Fix by relaxing the success criterion and instead check that the filters
were not hit zero times. Using tc_check_at_least_x_packets() is also an
option, but it is not available in older kernels.

7b3fa99526 selftests: forwarding: Switch off timeout

The default timeout for selftests is 45 seconds, but it is not enough
for forwarding selftests which can takes minutes to finish depending on
the number of tests cases:

Fix by switching off the timeout and setting it to 0. A similar change
was done for BPF selftests in commit 6fc5916cc2 ("selftests: bpf:
Switch off timeout").

e410f85ebc selftests: forwarding: Skip test when no interfaces are specified

As explained in [1], the forwarding selftests are meant to be run with
either physical loopbacks or veth pairs. The interfaces are expected to
be specified in a user-provided forwarding.config file or as command
line arguments. By default, this file is not present and the tests fail:

 # make -C tools/testing/selftests TARGETS=net/forwarding run_tests
 [...]
 TAP version 13

 # timeout set to 45
 # selftests: net/forwarding: bridge_igmp.sh
 # Command line is not complete. Try option "help"
 # Failed to create netif

Fix by skipping a test if interfaces are not provided either via the
configuration file or command line arguments.

Ethtool extended state cannot be tested with veth pairs, resulting in
failures:
