[ Upstream commit64cdf7d30a] u32_match_it() executes rule-supplied shift operands on a 32-bit value. A malformed u32 rule can provide a shift count of 32 or more, triggering an undefined shift out-of-bounds during packet evaluation. Validate XT_U32_LEFTSH and XT_U32_RIGHTSH operands in u32_mt_checkentry() and reject malformed rules before they reach the packet path. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
