[ Upstream commitad2ab1297d] Currently, if provider->xlate() or provider->xlate_extended() "successfully" return a NULL node, then of_icc_get_from_provider() won't consider that an error and will successfully return the NULL node. This bypasses error handling in of_icc_get_by_index() and leads to NULL dereferences in path_find(). This could be avoided by ensuring provider callbacks always return an error for NULL nodes, but it's better to explicitly protect against this in the common framework. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
