[ Upstream commite3ea1b4847] If device_register() returns error in pccardd(), it leads two issues: 1. The socket_released has never been completed, it will block pcmcia_unregister_socket(), because of waiting for completion of socket_released. 2. The device name allocated by dev_set_name() is leaked. Fix this two issues by calling put_device() when device_register() fails. socket_released can be completed in pcmcia_release_socket(), the name can be freed in kobject_cleanup(). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
