commit77568e535aupstream. Hash algorithms with an alignmask set, e.g. "xcbc(aes-aesni)" and "michael_mic", fail the improved hash tests because they sometimes produce the wrong digest. The bug is that in the case where a scatterlist element crosses pages, not all the data is actually hashed because the scatterlist walk terminates too early. This happens because the 'nbytes' variable in crypto_hash_walk_done() is assigned the number of bytes remaining in the page, then later interpreted as the number of bytes remaining in the scatterlist element. Fix it. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
