G12A and newer don't use the SAR ADC to read the SoC temperature from within the firmware. Instead there's now a dedicated thermal sensor. Disable the BL30 integration for G12A and newer SoCs to save a few CPU cycles when reading samples. Adding a separate struct meson_sar_adc_data is a good idea anyways because starting with G12A there's some extra registers to read the samples in a simplified way. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
