[ Upstream commit9d4e8d5fa7] Currently, when the range to flush covers more than one page (a 4K page or a hugepage), __flush_tlb_range() flushes the whole tlb. Flushing the whole tlb comes with a greater cost than flushing a single entry so we should flush single entries up to a certain threshold so that: threshold * cost of flushing a single entry < cost of flushing the whole tlb. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
