[ Upstream commitaa2fbece1b] acpi_dev_get_first_match_dev() returns a refcounted ACPI device and callers are expected to balance it with acpi_dev_put(). When no companion is already attached, cs35l56_hda_read_acpi() looks up an ACPI device and sets it with ACPI_COMPANION_SET(), but leaves the lookup reference held. ACPI_COMPANION_SET() does not take ownership of that reference, so drop it with acpi_dev_put() after attaching the companion. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
