When the relocations are applied to the purgatory only the section the relocations are applied to is writable. The other sections, i.e. the symtab and .rel/.rela, are in read-only kexec_purgatory. Highlight this by marking the corresponding variables as 'const'. While at it also change the signatures of arch_kexec_apply_relocations* to take section pointers instead of just the index of the relocation section. This removes the second lookup and sanity check of the sections in arch code. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
