Btrfs currently does not support swap files because swap's use of bmap does not work with copy-on-write and multiple devices. See35054394c4("Btrfs: stop providing a bmap operation to avoid swapfile corruptions"). However, the swap code has a mechanism for the filesystem to manually add swap extents using add_swap_extent() from the ->swap_activate() aop. iomap has done this since67482129cd("iomap: add a swapfile activation function"). Btrfs will do the same in a later patch, so export add_swap_extent(). be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
