[ Upstream commit1fdc97ae45] We have a dedicated "amlogic,meson-g12a-dwmac" compatible string for the Ethernet controller since commit3efdb92426("dt-bindings: net: dwmac-meson: Add a compatible string for G12A onwards"). Using the AXG compatible string worked fine so far because the dwmac-meson8b driver doesn't handle the newly introduced register bits for G12A. However, once that changes the driver must be probed with the correct compatible string to manage these new register bits. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
