These existing functions: pci_request_region() pci_request_selected_regions() pci_request_selected_regions_exclusive() are "hybrid" functions built on __pci_request_region() and are managed if pcim_enable_device() has been called, but unmanaged otherwise. Add these new functions: pcim_request_region() pcim_request_region_exclusive() These are *always* managed and use the new pcim_addr_devres tracking infrastructure instead of find_pci_dr() and struct pci_devres.region_mask. Implement the hybrid functions using the new "pure" functions and remove struct pci_devres.region_mask, which is no longer needed. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
