The only thing remaining of the machvecs is a few checks if we are running on an SGI UV system. Replace those with the existing is_uv_system() check that has been rewritten to simply check the OEM ID directly. That leaves us with a generic kernel that is as fast as the previous DIG/ZX1/UV kernels, but can support all hardware. Support for UV and the HP SBA IOMMU is now optional based on new config options. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
