Previously, if lock_pages() end up partially mapping pages, it used to return -ERRNO due to which unlock_pages() have to go through each pages[i] till *nr_pages* to validate them. This can be avoided by passing correct number of partially mapped pages & -ERRNO separately, while returning from lock_pages() due to error. With this fix unlock_pages() doesn't need to validate pages[i] till *nr_pages* for error scenario and few condition checks can be ignored. be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
