Carl Schwan 7b723813ce Multiple fixes ...

- Fix tests
- Use non deprecated event stuff
- Add a bit of type hinting to the new stuff
- More safe handling of instanceOfStorage (share might not be the first
  wrapper)
- Fix resharing
