1f3b3142b4 Distinguish conformance and superclass generic requirements.
As part of this, use a different enum for parsed generic requirements.

NFC except that I noticed that ASTWalker wasn't visiting the second
type in a conformance constraint; fixing this seems to have no effect
beyond producing better IDE annotations.

2df6880617 Introduce ProtocolConformanceRef. NFC.
The main idea here is that we really, really want to be
able to recover the protocol requirement of a conformance
reference even if it's abstract due to the conforming type
being abstract (e.g. an archetype).  I've made the conversion
from ProtocolConformance* explicit to discourage casual
contamination of the Ref with a null value.

As part of this change, always make conformance arrays in
Substitutions fully parallel to the requirements, as opposed
to occasionally being empty when the conformances are abstract.

As another part of this, I've tried to proactively fix
prospective bugs with partially-concrete conformances, which I
believe can happen with concretely-bound archetypes.

In addition to just giving us stronger invariants, this is
progress towards the removal of the archetype from Substitution.

5aa40dd0aa Extend DefaultArgumentKind with cases for nil, [], and [:].
Under -enable-infer-default-arguments, the Clang importer infers some
default arguments for imported declarations. Rather than jumping
through awful hoops to make sure that we create default argument
generators (which will likely imply eager type checking), simply
handle these cases as callee-side expansions.

This makes -enable-infer-default-arguments usable, fixing
rdar://problem/24049927.

6afe77d597 Eliminate the Parameter type completely - now ParameterList is just
an overblown array of ParamDecl*'s that also keeps track of parenlocs

b3e75dd121 Eliminate the stored "size" field in ArrayTypeRepr since it is always null, saving a word. NFC.
We should also eliminate the isOldSyntax as well, and just do the
error recovery in the parser (there is no need to retain the sugar here
anymore), but I'll do that as a separate change since it could be behavior
changing.

cc3f173040 remove variadics, default args etc, from tuple patterns, and simplify
the Pattern::clone interface now that the complexity isn't needed.

7daaa22d93 Completely reimplement/redesign the AST representation of parameters.
Parameters (to methods, initializers, accessors, subscripts, etc) have always been represented
as Pattern's (of a particular sort), stemming from an early design direction that was abandoned.
Being built on top of patterns leads to patterns being overly complicated (e.g. tuple patterns
have to have varargs and default parameters) and make working on parameter lists complicated
and error prone.  This might have been ok in 2015, but there is no way we can live like this in
2016.

Instead of using Patterns, carve out a new ParameterList and Parameter type to represent all the
parameter specific stuff.  This simplifies many things and allows a lot of simplifications.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do this very incrementally, so this is a huge patch.  The good
news is that it erases a ton of code, and the technical debt that went with it.  Ignoring test
suite changes, we have:
   77 files changed, 2359 insertions(+), 3221 deletions(-)

This patch also makes a bunch of wierd things dead, but I'll sweep those out in follow-on
patches.

Fixes <rdar://problem/22846558> No code completions in Foo( when Foo has error type
Fixes <rdar://problem/24026538> Slight regression in generated header, which I filed to go with 3a23d75.

Fixes an overloading bug involving default arguments and curried functions (see the diff to
Constraints/diagnostics.swift, which we now correctly accept).

Fixes cases where problems with parameters would get emitted multiple times, e.g. in the
test/Parse/subscripting.swift testcase.

The source range for ParamDecl now includes its type, which permutes some of the IDE / SourceModel tests
(for the better, I think).

Eliminates the bogus "type annotation missing in pattern" error message when a type isn't
specified for a parameter (see test/decl/func/functions.swift).

This now consistently parenthesizes argument lists in function types, which leads to many diffs in the
SILGen tests among others.

This does break the "sibling indentation" test in SourceKit/CodeFormat/indent-sibling.swift, and
I haven't been able to figure it out.  Given that this is experimental functionality anyway,
I'm just XFAILing the test for now.  i'll look at it separately from this mongo diff.

feace85d5a Enhance SubscriptDecl to be a DeclContext, so it can hold its indices.
This is necessary for some other work I'm doing, which really wants
paramdecls to have reasonable declcontexts.  It is also a small step
towards generic subscripts.

57dd686742 Strawman @fixed_layout attribute and -{enable,disable}-resilience flags
A fixed layout type is one about which the compiler is allowed to
make certain assumptions across resilience domains. The assumptions
will be documented elsewhere, but for the purposes of this patch
series, they will include:

- the size of the type
- offsets of stored properties
- whether accessed properties are stored or computed

When -enable-resilience is passed to the frontend, all types become
resilient unless annotated with the @fixed_layout attribute.

So far, the @fixed_layout attribute only comes into play in SIL type
lowering of structs and enums, which now become address-only unless
they are @fixed_layout. For now, @fixed_layout is also allowed on
classes, but has no effect. In the future, support for less resilient
type lowering within a single resilience domain will be added, with
appropriate loads and stores in function prologs and epilogs.

Resilience is not enabled by default, which gives all types fixed
layout and matches the behavior of the compiler today. Since
we do not want the -enable-resilience flag to change the behavior
of existing compiled modules, only the currently-compiling module,
Sema adds the @fixed_layout flag to all declarations when the flag
is off. To reduce the size of .swiftmodule files, this could become
a flag on the module itself in the future.

The reasoning behind this is that the usual case is building
applications and private frameworks, where there is no need to make
anything resilient.

For the standard library, we can start out with resilience disabled,
while perfoming an audit adding @fixed_layout annotations in the
right places. Once the implementation is robust enough we can then
build the standard library with resilience enabled.

226fa1543b Eliminate the Type from ComponentIdentTypeRepr.
With this change, TypeReprs no longer contain fully-resolved types for
any parsed code. Rather, they contain unresolved identifiers or the
declarations to which the identifiers have resolved.

As a minor space optimization, collapse the unbound (Identifier)
representation and the bound (ValueDecl *) representation into a
single pointer union.

0c288e0829 introduce a new UnresolvedTypeConversionExpr implicit conversion node for
conversions to and from UnresolvedType.  This will allow UnresolvedType to be
used more aggressively and predictably by CSDiags.  This is NFC, but used in
the next patch.

e5cb73fe41 SILGen: Clean up ErasureExpr lowering, NFC
This is a step towards partially-applying methods that return Self
on existentials.

- We model opening of both existential values and metatypes with
  OpenExistentialExpr, but erasure had two forms, ErasureExpr and
  MetatypeErasureExpr. Combine them into one, since both Sema and
  SILGen have similar code paths for each.

- If the source type of an ErasureExpr is a closed existential,
  have Sema emit an OpenExistentialExpr, and remove SILGen's
  openExistentialForErasure() path, which mostly duplicates
  openExistentialImpl().

- There was one difference between openExistentialForErasure() and
  openExistentialImpl(). The former would emit the opaque value in
  +0 context, and the latter in a +1 with initialization. The
  previous patch ensures that visitOpaqueValueExpr() generates
  equivalent code in both cases.

a899872d91 Reapply r31105, with some fixes to invalid unconstrained generics. These fixes correct
the regressions that r31105 introduced in the validation tests, as well as fixing a number
of other validation tests as well.

Introduce a new UnresolvedType to the type system, and have CSDiags start to use it
as a way to get more type information out of incorrect subexpressions.  UnresolvedType
generally just propagates around the type system like a type variable:
 - it magically conforms to all protocols
 - it CSGens as an unconstrained type variable.
 - it ASTPrints as _, just like a type variable.

The major difference is that UnresolvedType can be used outside the context of a
ConstraintSystem, which is useful for CSGen since it sets up several of them to 
diagnose subexpressions w.r.t. their types.

For now, our use of this is extremely limited: when a closureexpr has no contextual
type available and its parameters are invalid, we wipe them out with UnresolvedType
(instead of the previous nulltype dance) to get ambiguities later on.

We also introduce a new FreeTypeVariableBinding::UnresolvedType approach for
constraint solving (and use this only in one place in CSDiags so far, to resolve
the callee of a CallExpr) which solves a system and rewrites any leftover type 
variables as UnresolvedTypes.  This allows us to get more precise information out,
for example, diagnosing:

0b1283b1c9 Have 'defer' statements cons up func decls instead of closure literals.
The defer body func is only ever fully applied, so SILGen can avoid allocating a closure for it if it's declared as a 'func', making it slightly more efficient at -Onone.

f00e5bc6ab Allow a variadic parameter anywhere in the parameter list.
Requiring a variadic parameter to come at the end of the parameter
list is an old restriction that makes no sense nowadays, and which we
had all thought we had already lifted. It made variadic parameters
unusable with trailing closures or defaulted arguments, and made our
new print() design unimplementable.

Remove this restriction, replacing it with a less onerous and slightly
less silly restriction that we not have more than one variadic
parameter in a given parameter clause. Fixes rdar://problem/20127197.

Add a new convention to describe what happens with
nonzero_result on a type that isn't imported as Bool.
This isn't really a safe convention to implement, but

9fe51033a4 Allow lazy resolution of nested archetypes within the archetype builder.
While the archetype builder is constructing archetypes, it eagerly
produces the set of nested archetypes for each archetype. If the
construction of any of those nested archetypes refers to another
archetype, we would fail unceremonerously with an assertion. Fill in
the nested type names (but not their actual types) eagerly, allowing
the actual types to be determined lazily.

This is plumbing for rdar://problem/21620908, which still trips an
unrelated assertion, preventing a useful testcase at this step.

bd891ea8f3 Extend the heinous hack for overloading with redeclared protocol requirements.
When two protocol requirements would otherwise be considered
"identical", take the one from the most-refined protocol. This whole
hack *should* go away when we properly handle overriding for protocol
requirements, but for now it fixes rdar://problem/21322215.

e57c470019 Introduce a "@box T" type for SIL.
Represents a heap allocation containing a value of type T, which we'll be able to use to represent the payloads of indirect enum cases, and also improve codegen of current boxes, which generates non-uniqued box metadata on every allocation, which is dumb. No codegen changes or IRGen support yet; that will come later.

This time, fix a paste-o that caused SILBlockStorageTypes to get replaced with SILBoxTypes during type substitution. Oops.
