I don't like this code, it doesn't make much sense to me.
Ideally, this entire file should be replaced with the new code we have
in include/swift/RemoteAST for mapping mangled type strings to Types
and Decls.
Flush out the ASTPrinter's ability to exclude and include specific
attributes to cover TypeAttrKinds and have code-completion use this to
print @escaping in override completions. Incidentally fix a case where
we weren't forwarding important options after type transformation, which
prevented printing @escaping in transformed parameter types.

We have a radar (rdar://27615558) complaining the exiting recursive calls in type transform
of code completion hangs. This patch refactor the existing code to avoid using
recursion. From existing tests' perspective, this is NFC. I am not able to contrive the
test case that leads to the hang, neither is given by the radar.
When DynamicSelfType occurs outside of a class body (for example,
inside of a SIL function), it is not enough to simply utter 'Self',
because then we lose the underlying type.
Instead, print it out as '@dynamic_self Foo', where 'Foo' is the
underlying class type or archetype, and add parser support for
the same.
Fixes <rdar://problem/27735857>.
Argument labels are allowed to use keywords, in which case we want to
treat them as identifiers in the syntax map (except for '_'). This
commit moves calculation of that into the original lexing instead of
in the model walker, which makes it much more robust, since the model
walker was only guessing about what was next on the the TokenNodes list.
This fixes a bug where arrays of object literals would only have the
first object correct (the following ones were identifiers), as well as
some incorrect cases where we treated keywords as identifiers.

One minor revision: this lifts the proposed restriction against
overriding a non-open method with an open one. On reflection,
that was inconsistent with the existing rule permitting non-public
methods to be overridden with public ones. The restriction on
subclassing a non-open class with an open class remains, and is
in fact consistent with the existing access rule.
Replace the enum and OptionSet-specific code with static member lookup
that checks the type against the contextual type. This lets us complete
static variables, static functions, and initializers. In particular,
this fixes completion of NS_EXTENSIBLE_STRING_ENUM types from
Objective-C.

What I've implemented here deviates from the current proposal text
in the following ways:
- I had to introduce a FunctionArrowPrecedence to capture the parsing
of -> in expression contexts.
- I found it convenient to continue to model the assignment property
explicitly.
- The comparison and casting operators have historically been
non-associative; I have chosen to preserve that, since I don't
think this proposal intended to change it.
- This uses the precedence group names and higherThan/lowerThan
as agreed in discussion.

When we are type-checking calls, subscripts, or other call-like
expressions, use the argument labels provided by the various
expression nodes rather than those encoded in the tuple type. This
means that argument label matching now matches the callee
declaration's argument labels against the argument labels, without
relying on encoding the argument labels within types in the AST.
This refactor is a stepping stone torward SE-0111.
'fileprivate' is considered a broader level of access than 'private',
but for now both of them are still available to the entire file. This
is intended as a migration aid.
One interesting fallout of the "access scope" model described in
758cf64 is that something declared 'private' at file scope is actually
treated as 'fileprivate' for diagnostic purposes. This is something
we can fix later, once the full model is in place. (It's not really
/wrong/ in that they have identical behavior, but diagnostics still
shouldn't refer to a type explicitly declared 'private' as
'fileprivate'.)
As a note, ValueDecl::getEffectiveAccess will always return 'FilePrivate'
rather than 'Private'; for purposes of optimization and code generation,
we should never try to distinguish these two cases.
This should have essentially no effect on code that's /not/ using
'fileprivate' other than altered diagnostics.
Progress on SE-0025 ('fileprivate' and 'private')
In various cases where we had global operators for non-generic
concrete types (such as String + String), move those operators into
the type. This should not affect the sources, but makes the exposition
of the library cleaner.
Plus, it's a good test for the compiler, which uncovered a few issues
where the compiler was coupled with the library.
The ArchetypeTransformer isn't actually limited to transforming archetypes
but can transform arbitrary types. Thus, we can rename it to TypeTransformer
- Any is made into a keyword which is always resolved into a TypeExpr,
allowing the removal of the type system code to find TheAnyType before
an unconstrained lookup.
- Types called `Any` can be declared, they are looked up as any other
identifier is
- Renaming/redefining behaviour of source loc methods on
ProtocolCompositionTypeRepr. Added a createEmptyComposition static
method too.
- Code highlighting treats Any as a type
- simplifyTypeExpr also does not rely on source to get operator name.
- Any is now handled properly in canParseType() which was causing
generic param lists containing ‘Any’ to fail
- The import objc id as Any work has been relying on getting a decl for
the Any type. I fix up the clang importer to use Context.TheAnyType
(instead of getAnyDecl()->getDeclaredType()). When importing the id
typedef, we create a typealias to Any and declare it unavaliable.
- All parts of the compiler now use ‘P1 & P2’ syntax
- The demangler and AST printer wrap the composition in parens if it is
in a metatype lookup
- IRGen mangles compositions differently
- “protocol<>” is now “swift.Any”
- “protocol<_TP1P,_TP1Q>” is now “_TP1P&_TP1Q”
- Tests cases are updated and added to test the new syntax and mangling
This commit defines the ‘Any’ keyword, implements parsing for composing
types with an infix ‘&’, and provides a fixit to convert ‘protocol<>’
- Updated tests & stdlib for new composition syntax
- Provide errors when compositions used in inheritance.
Any is treated as a contextual keyword. The name ‘Any’
is used emit the empty composition type. We have to
stop user declaring top level types spelled ‘Any’ too.
This patch allows SourceKit to generate the interface for a given type specified by its mangled name.
Type interface is refined decl printing with type parameters localized and unusable members hidden.

In Swift, default arguments are associated with a function or
initializer's declaration---not with its type. This was not always the
case, and TupleType's ability to store a default argument kind is a
messy holdover from those dark times.
Eliminate the default argument kind from TupleType, which involves
migrating a few more clients over to declaration-centric handling of
default arguments. Doing so is usually a bug-fix anyway: without the
declaration, one didn't really have
The SILGen test changes are due to a name-mangling fix that fell out
of this change: a tuple type is mangled differently than a non-tuple
type, and having a default argument would make the parameter list of a
single-parameter function into a tuple type. Hence,
func foo(x: Int = 5)
would get a different mangling from
func foo(x: Int)
even though we didn't actually allow overloading.
Fixes rdar://problem/24016341, and helps us along the way to SE-0111
(removing the significance of argument labels) because argument labels
are also declaration-centric, and need the same information.
