1fc00ae248 [ASTGen] Remove LegacyParser ping-pong mechanism
Now that ASTGen should be able to generate most Swift code. Let's
remove "legacy parser" call-in, and remove the unhealthy cyclic
dependency between lib/Parse and ASTGen.

d4db99ce9d [Parse] Remove unnecessary dependencies to Parser.h
C++ swift::Parser is going to be replaced with SwiftParser+ASTGen.
Direct dependencies to it should be removed. Before that, remove
unnecessary '#include "swift/Parse/Parser.h"' to clarify what actually
depends on 'swift::Parser'.

Split 'swift::parseDeclName()' et al. into the dedicated files.

6a435960b7 Requestify regex pattern parsing
Instead of doing the pattern parsing in both the
C++ parser and ASTGen, factor out the parsing into
a request that returns the pattern to emit, regex
type, and version. This can then be lazily run
during type-checking.

2f7aa428db [Macros] In-process plugin server
Separate swift-syntax libs for the compiler and for the library plugins.
Compiler communicates with library plugins using serialized messages
just like executable plugins.

* `lib/swift/host/compiler/lib_Compiler*.dylib`(`lib/CompilerSwiftSyntax`):
swift-syntax libraries for compiler. Library evolution is disabled.
* Compiler (`ASTGen` and `swiftIDEUtilsBridging`) only depends on
  `lib/swift/host/compiler` libraries.
* `SwiftInProcPluginServer`: In-process plugin server shared library.
This has one `swift_inproc_plugins_handle_message` entry point that
receives a message and return the response.
* In the compiler
  * Add `-in-process-plugin-server-path` front-end option, which specifies
    the `SwiftInProcPluginServer` shared library path.
  * Remove `LoadedLibraryPlugin`, because all library plugins are managed
    by `SwiftInProcPluginServer`
  * Introduce abstract `CompilerPlugin` class that has 2 subclasses:
    * `LoadedExecutablePlugin` existing class that represents an
      executable plugin
    * `InProcessPlugins` wraps `dlopen`ed `SwiftInProcPluginServer`
  * Unified the code path in `TypeCheckMacros.cpp` and `ASTGen`, the
difference between executable plugins and library plugins are now
    abstracted by `CompilerPlugin`

47f18d492e [ASTGen] Move regex literal parsing from SwiftCompilerSources to ASTGen
ASTGen always builds with the host Swift compiler, without requiring
bootstrapping, and is enabled in more places. Move the regex literal
parsing logic there so it is enabled in more host environments, and
makes use of CMake's Swift support. Enable all of the regex literal
tests when ASTGen is built, to ensure everything is working.

Remove the "AST" and "Parse" Swift modules from SwiftCompilerSources,
because they are no longer needed.

fb08a92f48 [ASTGen] Infrastructure to implment ASTGen Incrementally
* 'ASTGenVisitor' has a reference to a legacy C++ Parser configured for
  ASTGen.
* If 'ASTGenVisitor' encounters a AST node that hasn't been migrated,
call parse(Decl|Stmt|Expr|Type) to parse the position using the legacy
  parser.
* The legacy parser calls ASTGen's
  'swift_ASTGen_build(Decl|Stmt|Expr|Type)' for each ASTNode "parsing"
(unless the call is not directly from the ASTGen.)

041691184c [CMake] Replace early swift-syntax with FetchContent
Use FetchContent to include swift-syntax directly in swift. This can be
thought of as an `add_subdirectory` for a directory outside the root.

The default build directory will be `_deps/swiftsyntax-subbuild/`, though
the modules and shared libraries will be built in `lib/swift/host` by
passing down `SWIFT_HOST_LIBRARIES_DEST_DIR` to avoid copying them as we
were doing previously.

7b460ce495 build: fix accidental cmake expansions
As of CMake 3.25, there are now global variables `LINUX=1`, `ANDROID=1`,
etc. These conflict with expressions that used these names as unquoted
strings in positions where CMake accepts 'variable|string', for example:

- `if(sdk STREQUAL LINUX)` would fail, because `LINUX` is now defined and
expands to 1, where it would previously coerce to a string.

- `if(${sdk} STREQUAL "LINUX")` would fail if `sdk=LINUX`, because the
  left-hand side expands twice.

In this patch, I looked for a number of patterns to fix up, sometimes a
little defensively:

- Quoted right-hand side of `STREQUAL` where I was confident it was
intended to be a string literal.

- Removed manual variable expansion on left-hand side of `STREQUAL`,
`MATCHES` and `IN_LIST` where I was confident it was unintended.

Fixes #65028.

9004fd24d4 [ASTGen] Separate JSON serialization module from ASTGen
For future usage from other host libraries written in Swift

For CMake:
 * Explicitly specify LINKER_LANGAGE to CXX in existing components so
that 'swiftc' is not used when linking with 'swiftASTGen'
 * Add 'EMIT_MODULE' argument to 'add_pure_swift_host_library' to emit
.swiftmodule usable from other Swift libraries.

5ea5f3b45d Optional support for round-trip testing the new Swift parser.
When enabled, compile in support for round-trip testing the new
SwiftSyntax-provided Swift parser alongside the existing parser. Right
now, this means parsing every source file with the new parser and
ensuring that the resulting syntax tree can reproduce the input source
precisely. Over time, this is expected to grow.

Opt in to this behavior by passing the following to build-script:

    build-script --early-swiftsyntax --extra-cmake-options=-DSWIFT_SWIFT_PARSER_MODE:STRING=ROUNDTRIP

1d750f965c [SwiftSyntax] Parse regex literals using a fallback lexer implemented in C++
`libInternalSwiftSyntaxParser.dylib` currently doesn’t link against `SwiftExperimentalStringProcessing`, so it can’t use the regex lexing functions defined within. This caused SwiftSyntax to fail if the source code contained regex literals.

Implement a fallback regex lexing function in C++ and use it for SwiftSyntax parsing.

37f16520e6 Prototype regex literal AST and emission
With `-enable-experimental-string-processing`,
start lexing `'` delimiters as regex literals (this
is just a placeholder delimiter for now). The
contents of which gets passed to the libswift
library, which can return an error string to be
emitted, or null for success.

The libswift side isn't yet hooked up to the Swift
regex parser, so for now just emit a dummy
diagnostic for regexes starting with quantifiers.

If successful, build an AST node which will be
emitted as an implicit call to an
`init(_regexString:)` initializer of an in-scope
`Regex` decl (which will eventually be a known
stdlib decl).

9412f19802 [cmake] Change set_swift_llvm_is_available to set definitions on a specific target.
Otherwise we set it on all targets/languages in a subdirectory (I forgot if it
propagates up). Regardless, this type of viral stuff is something we want to
move away from since it creates a code that is a "forall" piece of code rather
than a piece of code that only effects a single target.

I also conditionalized the actual definitions being added on the compiled file's
language being C,CXX,OBJC,OBJCXX since as we add Swift sources to the host side
of the compiler, we will not want these flags to propagate to Swift sources.

a47bd7089e [libSyntax] Don't create dedicated deferred nodes in SyntaxTreeCreator
We have finally reached our goal of optimising deferred node creation
for SyntaxTreeCreator. Instead of creating dedicated deferred nodes and
copying the data into a RawSyntax node when recording, we always create
RawSyntax nodes. Recording a deferred node is thus a no-op, since we
have already created a RawSyntax node. Should a deferred node not be
recorded, it stays alive in the SyntaxArena without any reference to it.
While this means, we are leaking some memory for such nodes, most nodes
do get recorded, so the overhead should be fine compared to the
performance benefit.

ab7427723e [Parse/Syntax] Refactoring to decouple the parser from syntax tree creation
Instead of creating syntax nodes directly, modify the parser to invoke an abstract interface 'SyntaxParseActions' while it is parsing the source code.
This decouples the act of parsing from the act of forming a syntax tree representation.
'SyntaxTreeCreator' is an implementation of SyntaxParseActions that handles the logic of creating a syntax tree.
To enforce the layering separation of parsing and syntax tree creation, a static library swiftSyntaxParse is introduced to compose the two.

This decoupling is important for introducing a syntax parser library for SwiftSyntax to directly access parsing.
