f9396f2812 ModuleInterface: teach -compile-module-from-interface to emit forwarding module
-compile-module-from-interface action now takes arguments of -candidate-module-file.
If one of the candidate module files is up-to-date, the action emits a forwarding
module pointing to the candidate module instead of building a binary module.

2198d7174c Remove -debug-time-compilation
This flag no longer does anything now that the unified statistics
reporting infrastructure exists. It is better to use
-driver-time-compilation to see a bird's eye view of timing statistics
for frontend jobs, and -stats-output-dir to see a down-and-dirty view of
everything including performance counters.

40104ba8b1 Link against the C++ standard library when C++ interop is enabled (#30914)
This doesn't yet allow including C++ headers on platforms where libc++
isn't the default; see comments in UnixToolChains.cpp for details.

However, it does, for example, allow throwing and catching exceptions in C++
code used through interop, unblocking
https://github.com/apple/swift/pull/30674/files.

The flags (-enable-experimental-cxx-interop and -experimental-cxx-stdlib) carry
"experimental" in the name to emphasize that C++ interop is still an
experimental feature.

20bc0af42b [LTO] Support LLVM LTO for IRGen and frontend
This commit adds -lto flag for frontend to enable LTO at LLVM level.
When -lto=llvm given, compiler emits LLVM bitcode file instead of object
file and adds index summary for LTO.
In addition for ELF format, emit llvm.dependent-libraries section to
embed auto linking information

ec9cd91c1b ExplicitModuleLoader: take a JSON file that specifies details of explicit Swift modules
Instead of taking paths of Swift module files from front-end command line
arguments, we should take a JSON file specifying details of explicit modules.
The advantages is (1) .swiftdoc and .swiftsourceinfo can be associated
with a .swiftmodule file, and (2) module names are explicitly used as
keys in the JSON input so we don't need to eagerly deserialize a .swiftmodule
file to collect the module name.

1b77448d37 Add path remapping with -coverage-prefix-map to coverage data
Previously the path to covered files in the __LLVM_COV / __llvm_covmap
section were absolute. This made remote builds with coverage information
difficult because all machines would have to have the same build root.
This change uses the values for `-coverage-prefix-map` to remap files in
the coverage info to relative paths. These paths work correctly with
llvm-cov when it is run from the same source directory as the
compilation, or from a different directory using the `-path-equivalence`
argument.

This is analogous to this change in clang https://reviews.llvm.org/D81122

64f903fe2a [Type checker] Experimental support for one-way parameter constraints.
Introduce an experimental mode (behind the flag
`experimental-one-way-closure-params`) that places one-way
constraints between closure parameter types and references to those
parameters within the body of the closure. The intent here is to
break up constraint systems further, potentially improving type
checking performance and making way for larger closure bodies to be
supported.

This is a source-breaking change when the body of a single-expression
closure is used to determine the parameter types. One obvious example
is when there is no contextual type, e.g.,

    let _ = { $0 + 1 }

this type-checks today because `1` becomes `Int`, which matches the
`+` overload with the type `(Int, Int) -> Int`, determining the
parameter type `Int` for the closure. Such code would not type-check
with one-way constraints.

33cdd61835 Fast dependency scanning for Swift
Implement a new "fast" dependency scanning option,
`-scan-dependencies`, in the Swift frontend that determines all
of the source file and module dependencies for a given set of
Swift sources. It covers four forms of modules:

1) Swift (serialized) module files, by reading the module header
2) Swift interface files, by parsing the source code to find imports
3) Swift source modules, by parsing the source code to find imports
4) Clang modules, using Clang's fast dependency scanning tool

A single `-scan-dependencies` operation maps out the full
dependency graph for the given Swift source files, including all
of the Swift and Clang modules that may need to be built, such
that all of the work can be scheduled up front by the Swift
driver or any other build system that understands this
option. The dependency graph is emitted as JSON, which can be
consumed by these other tools.

aa66cce808 [AutoDiff upstream] Add differentiation transform.
The differentiation transform does the following:
- Canonicalizes differentiability witnesses by filling in missing derivative
  function entries.
- Canonicalizes `differentiable_function` instructions by filling in missing
  derivative function operands.
- If necessary, performs automatic differentiation: generating derivative
  functions for original functions.
  - When encountering non-differentiability code, produces a diagnostic and
    errors out.

Partially resolves TF-1211: add the main canonicalization loop.

To incrementally stage changes, derivative functions are currently created
with empty bodies that fatal error with a nice message.

Derivative emitters will be upstreamed separately.

1308fc69c5 [AutoDiff] Simplify conditions enabling differentiable programming. (#30765)
Previously, two conditions were necessary to enable differentiable programming:
- Using the `-enable-experimental-differentiable-programming` frontend flag.
- Importing the `_Differentiation` module.

Importing the `_Differentiation` module is the true condition because it
contains the required compiler-known `Differentiable` protocol. The frontend
flag is redundant and cumbersome.

Now, the frontend flag is removed.
Importing `_Differentiation` is the only condition.
