7a5dbdc20b CastOptimizer: don't assume dynamic casts from ObjectiveC classes to unrelated classes will fail
In case of ObjectiveC classes, the runtime type can differ from its declared type.
Therefore a cast between (compile-time) unrelated classes may succeed at runtime.

e0b52cd20e [SIL] Extend checked-cast instructions with "prohibit isolated conformances" flag
When performing a dynamic cast to an existential type that satisfies
(Metatype)Sendable, it is unsafe to allow isolated conformances of any
kind to satisfy protocol requirements for the existential. Identify
these cases and mark the corresponding cast instructions with a new flag,
`[prohibit_isolated_conformances]` that will be used to indicate to the
runtime that isolated conformances need to be rejected.

1d961ba22d Add #include "swift/Basic/Assertions.h" to a lot of source files
Although I don't plan to bring over new assertions wholesale
into the current qualification branch, it's entirely possible
that various minor changes in main will use the new assertions;
having this basic support in the release branch will simplify that.
(This is why I'm adding the includes as a separate pass from
rewriting the individual assertions)

e5d87f75a8 [SIL] Add source formal type to checked_cast_br.
It is necessary for opaque values where for casts that will newly start
out as checked_cast_brs and be lowered to checked_cast_addr_brs, since
the latter has the source formal type, IRGen relies on being able to
access it, and there's no way in general to obtain the source formal
type from the source lowered type.

1e6187c4f4 [sil] Update all usages of old API SILValue::getOwnershipKind() in favor of new ValueBase::getOwnershipKind().
Andy some time ago already created the new API but didn't go through and update
the old occurences. I did that in this PR and then deprecated the old API. The
tree is clean, so I could just remove it, but I decided to be nicer to
downstream people by deprecating it first.

c06e811b09 Fixup Extended Existential Metatype Casts
The fix here is two-fold:

1) Teach SILGen that it cannot use the scalar casting paths for extended existentials
2) Teach the runtime casting entrypoint to unwrap as much metatype structure as possible
   before arriving at a 'Self' type bound for the requirement checking paths.

The code here mirrors the destructuring check we're doing in remote mirrors.

1a9c2ad8a3 Add doesCastPreserveOwnershipForType() to SIL/Utils/DynamicCasts.cpp
Added an AST helper in Types.h:

- isPotentiallyAnyObject()

This formalizes logic for when cast operations forward
ownership. Various OSSA optimization rely on this for
correctness. This fixes latent bugs throughout the optimizer.

I was compelled to fix this now because we want to make OSSA
optimizations across dynamic casts more aggressive. For example, we
want to optimize retain/release across enum formation.

6438c7e931 Conservative Dynamic Casts to/from Parameterized Protocols
Update cast feasibility analysis to take parameterized protocols into account. The cast classifier was used to being able to essentially just run `conformsToProtocol` on the existential type, but for parameterized protocol types this will ignore the extra requirements imposed by the argument clause. For now, route everything through the runtime.

e8e613bd6a RCIdentity: fix another case of not-RC-identity-preserving casts.
When casting from existentials to class - and vice versa - it can happen that a cast is not RC identity preserving (because of potential bridging).
This also affects mayRelease() of such cast instructions.
For details see the comments in SILDynamicCastInst::isRCIdentityPreserving().

This change also includes some refactoring: I centralized the logic in SILDynamicCastInst::isRCIdentityPreserving().

f6e9f352f0 [Concurrency] Add async to the Swift type system.
Add `async` to the type system. `async` can be written as part of a
function type or function declaration, following the parameter list, e.g.,

  func doSomeWork() async { ... }

`async` functions are distinct from non-`async` functions and there
are no conversions amongst them. At present, `async` functions do not
*do* anything, but this commit fully supports them as a distinct kind
of function throughout:

* Parsing of `async`
* AST representation of `async` in declarations and types
* Syntactic type representation of `async`
* (De-/re-)mangling of function types involving 'async'
* Runtime type representation and reconstruction of function types
involving `async`.
* Dynamic casting restrictions for `async` function types
* (De-)serialization of `async` function types
* Disabling overriding, witness matching, and conversions with
differing `async`

e1a19e4173 [sil] Split library into subfolders, while still building as a single library still.
Specifically, I split it into 3 initial categories: IR, Utils, Verifier. I just
did this quickly, we can always split it more later if we want.

I followed the model that we use in SILOptimizer: ./lib/SIL/CMakeLists.txt vends
 a macro (sil_register_sources) to the sub-folders that register the sources of
 the subdirectory with a global state variable that ./lib/SIL/CMakeLists.txt
 defines. Then after including those subdirs, the parent cmake declares the SIL
 library. So the output is the same, but we have the flexibility of having
 subdirectories to categorize source files.
