aca3bd52ac SILGen: Build SILVTables while visiting classes.
When we walk a ClassDecl, generate its vtable, first pulling in decls from its ancestor classes, then overlaying overridden or new decls as we discover them.

b4f85653e6 SIL: Introduce SILVTables.
These will provide a SIL-level representation of class_method dispatch, mapping from dynamically-dispatched SILDeclRefs to SILFunctions so that devirtualization passes will be able to promote a class_method for a statically-known type to a function_ref without going all the way back to the AST.

82a18333ed SIL: Purge SpecializeInst.
Make ApplyInst and PartialApplyInst directly take substitutions for generic functions instead of trying to stage out substitutions separately. The legacy reasons for doing this are gone.

59175bdc08 [SIL] Remove TranslationUnit pointer from SILModule.
This reverts r8624 and compensates by passing the TU to the SILModule printer when needed.

This addresses concerns that Jordan and Sean had raised.

2f05d5c4df [SIL] Move GenFunc to use getBuiltinInfo and getIntrinsicInfo.
Make the functions support a wider range of builtins and store types to make
it possible.

This is an optimization - the cached ID will be used for builtin identification,
instead of retrieval of the string name and using it as the key.

3ac84f3878 [SIL] Add getIntrinsicID(FuncDecl*), which lazyly looks up the llvm::IntrinsicID for it.
The cache is stored in the SILModule.
Add getIntrinsicID() as a member of BuiltinFunctionRefInst.
Test by using the new method in the CCP pass.

aaa4b2c332 [SIL Printer] Add optional source location printing.
Added a -v(verbose) option to swift that will trigger verbose printing in SIL
Printer. SIL Printer will print the location info only in the verbose mode.

Here is the example of the format - only the line and colon are displayed for
brevity:

%24 = apply %13(%22) : $[cc(method), thin] ((), [byref] Bool) -> Builtin.Int1 // user: %26 line:46:10

(This will be used to test the validity of SILLocation info.)

ba774364f1 SIL: Have SILModules track their SILStage.
Modules can be in either 'Raw' or 'Canonical' form, with different invariants on each. We don't actually distinguish those invariants yet, but this patch adds the field to SILModule and adds a "sil_stage" declaration to SIL printer/parser syntax.

"SILConstant" doesn't really describe its role in SIL anymore, which is to provide a reference to a Swift declaration in a SIL instruction, such as a method or nominal type field.

8ac1bda817 SIL: Move retain/release/destroy helpers onto SILBuilder.
Add a convenience SILModule::getTypeLoweringInfo forwarder, and move the emitRetainRValue and emitReleaseRValue helpers from SILGenFunction to SILBuilder so they're more readily available to non-SILGen passes. Add an emitDestroyAddress helper that emits nothing, destroy_addr, or load + release based on the value semantics of the referenced type.

dbc314cdab Add a -use-malloc switch for memory debugging.
This flag makes ASTContext and SILModule's allocators go through malloc instead of using bump pointer allocators, so that GuardMalloc or similar tools can be used to look for memory bugs.

8693c5efaa SIL: Emit String-to-NSString conversions.
If -nsstring-is-string is enabled, lower Strings in cc(c) and cc(objc) function types to NSString, and when calling them, insert calls to StringToNSString/NSStringToString to perform the bridging conversion.

This isn't quite ready for prime-time yet, because we still need to emit the inverse bridging for ObjC method thunks, and I haven't tested the IRGen end of things yet.

bcb49ce450 SIL: Key functions directly without SILConstant.
Replace 'constant_ref' with 'function_ref', which references a SILFunction directly, and 'global_addr', which references a global variable VarDecl. Get rid of the SILConstant-to-SILFunction mapping in SILModule and replace it with an ilist of SILFunctions. Allow SILFunctions to be 'external' by not having any blocks in their body. 

For now, SILFunctions still carry around their SILConstant "name", because name mangling and IRGen still rely on access to the original decl in order to recover IRGen information, which unfortunately leaves IRGen's CodeRefs in a gross, awkward intermediate state. Lifting mangling, AbstractCC, and other linkage attributes to SIL should clear up this up.

On second thought, having SILConstant be able to point to a TLCD is going 
against the goal of making SILConstant be a "SILGen thing".  I'll find another
approach.

442a51ef36 SIL: Fix Verifier.
The Verifier wasn't actually verifying function bodies, because I neglected to visit the actual basic blocks after checking the entry point arguments in verifySILFunction. This revealed a SILType identity issue where TypeConverter::getLoweredType and SILType::getEmptyTupleType returned non-identical SILTypes for the empty tuple type; fix that by removing SILType::getEmptyTupleType, moving TypeConverter into SILModule, and forcing all SILType creation through TypeConverter.

3a9100f559 SIL: Clean up SILType interface for functions.
Function and compound types have a bunch of extra calling convention and uncurrying info stuffed into a "SILTypeInfo" object that until now had to be fetched through the SILModule. Change the representation of SILType to be a PointerUnion of CanType and SILTypeInfo*, and move the uncurry level onto the SILTypeInfo for functions, so that SILTypeInfo is available directly through the SILType and SILType can go back to being pointer-sized.

cb03dbd3be SIL: Associate SILTypeInfo with the SILModule.
For some types, there is lowering info that is useful to IRGen, such as the SIL-level calling convention for functions or the element layout of aggregates, that can't fit in a SILType pointer but still should be associated with the module. Add a SILTypeInfo hierarchy, add a mapping of SILTypes to infos to SILModule, and rename the SILGen-specific TypeInfo to TypeLoweringInfo. Move the derived layout information for compound types from TypeLoweringInfo to SILTypeInfo so that IRGen will be able to use it.

7d8f04ac45 SIL: Make SILType independent of Type.
Move SILType to its own header, and make it its own container type consisting of a Type with an "isAddress" bit for representing address types. Move the "isAddressOnly" information from SILGen's TypeInfo onto SILType as a second bit, because address-only-ness is extremely useful for verification outside of SILGen. Instead of mangling function types during type lowering, rely on the fact that SILType is no longer a Type to force us to mangle argument and return types when we see them. (We may eventually need SILFunctionType and SILTupleType things to represent lowered SIL function and tuple types containing addresses, but for now we can lower function and tuple components as needed.)

6ad32a20c4 SIL: Use SILType and lower types where needed.
Change over SIL Values and Instructions to work in terms of SILTypes, and update SILGen to lower types where needed. Add LValueType logic to SILType lowering to get rid of those annoying lvalue qualifiers so we can ignore RequalifyExprs. Tighten up the XFAILs in the SIL tests and disable the checks that currently crash.

dc1af6ae11 SILGen: Implement address-only type lowering.
Add a getLoweredType() method to SILGen's TypeInfo and logic to convert function signatures and address-only types to their SIL-level representations. Drive a (currently weak) type wedge between lowered and unlowered types by making a SILType subclass of CanType. Make SILConstants take on their lowered function types. This breaks a bunch of SIL test cases, which I've temporarily XFAILed until proper address-only type support can propagate through the rest of SILGen.

601f1d3c4d SIL: Move SILModule::getConstantType to TypeInfo.
Determining constant types requires help from SILGen because of address-only types, and the type of a constant after SILGen should always be readily available from the ConstantRefInst. Initialize SIL Function objects with their lowered type as well so that it's available to IRGen and SIL passes.

d3d617ca70 SILGen: Implement getting subscripts.
Subscripts are just another kind of property. Refactor some logic from ApplyExpr codegen to visit index arguments consistently with apply arguments. Also move the logic for determining SIL constant types onto SILModule because it's too hairy to calculate on the fly.

a593076d09 SIL: Introduce a SILConstant type.
We need something more general than ValueDecl to be able to talk about anonymous functions, curried entry points, etc. as SIL constants. SILConstant is a (ValueDecl | CapturingExpr) union with an additional index for discriminating multiple instances or entry points derived from the same AST entity. Update ConstantInst and SILModule's function table to be keyed by SILConstant rather than ValueDecl.

703bd9f355 SIL: Add bits to distinguish get/set in SILModule.
SIL needs a way to generate and reference getters and setters, which share a decl. Change SILModule to key its component Functions on a (ValueDecl, flags) pair rather than just on ValueDecl.
