3bd7f027f8 Runtime: use SmallVector instead of std::vector to avoid memory allocations in most cases.
This dramatically reduces the number of needed malloc calls.
Unfortunately I had to add the implementation of SmallVectorBase::grow_pod to the runtime, as we don't link LLVM. This is a bad hack, but better than re-inventing a new SmallVector implementation.

fe82b3e012 [cmake] Recover original CMAKE_C/CXX_COMPILER after changing them.
Seems that the change in the two variables was spilling into the other
target of the file, but returning it back to the original values seems
to avoid that issue.

This should unbreak the Android CI build. In it, the Linux static
library was changing to the host compiler, and that compiler was being
used for the Android runtime library, which would have never compile
that way (since the host compiler in CI is an old-ish Clang without the
necessary argument).

fce933910d ASTDemangler: Implement types in generic local context
If we nest a type inside a local context inside a generic type,
we have to look through the local context(s) to find the outer
generic type when stripping off generic arguments.

We don't support nominal types inside generic local context
right now, but this can happen with type aliases.

cb394f6302 build: allow building tools and stdlib separately
This restores the ability to build the standard library and the tools in two
separate build invocations.  This is required to cross-compile the standard
library on various targets without building complete toolchains.

3ba843a46c Reflection: conditionally build the target library
There is a build of the reflection library for the tools which we want to build
if we are building the tools.  The target library should only be built if we are
building the standard library.

b2b8048b3f build: split out host and target library builds fully
Remove this special case handling for building a host library as a target
library.  This is the last piece needed to support cross-compiling lldb.  As a
bonus, it cleans up some of the logic in our special build system.

3f17bb6ddf Carefully split the build's invocation of add_swift_library into host/target variants.
The key thing here is that all of the underlying code is exactly the same. I
purposely did not debride anything. This is to ensure that I am not touching too
much and increasing the probability of weird errors from occurring. Thus the
exact same code should be executed... just the routing changed.

5832a6fe12 [CMake] Link demangle tree dumper in +Asserts builds.
When building with assertions enabled, link the demangle tree dumper into
the runtime and remote mirrors libraries. This makes debugging demangling-related issues a whole lot easier.

d0b73b85d0 [Type decoder] Generalize the canonicalization of nominal type decl references.
Various TypeDecoder clients will depend on having the "bare" nominal
type declaration demangled node for looking up nominal type descriptors,
so move the generic argument-stripping code into TypeDecoder.

8437819b5a [CMake] Revert recent changes.
These changes caused a number of issues:

1. No debug info is emitted when a release-debug info compiler is built.
2. OS X deployment target specification is broken.
3. Swift options were broken without any attempt any recreating that
functionality. The specific option in question is --force-optimized-typechecker.

Such refactorings should be done in a fashion that does not break existing
users and use cases.

e096d1c033 [CMake] Simplify add_swift_library
This patch splits add_swift_library into two functions one which handles
the simple case of adding a library that is part of the compiler being
built and the second handling the more complicated case of "target"
libraries, which may need to build for one or more targets.

The new add_swift_library is built using llvm_add_library, which re-uses
LLVM's CMake modules. In adapting to use LLVM's modules some of
add_swift_library's named parameters have been removed and
LINK_LIBRARIES has changed to LINK_LIBS, and LLVM_LINK_COMPONENTS
changed to LINK_COMPONENTS.

This patch also cleans up libswiftBasic's handling of UUID library and
headers, and how it interfaces with gyb sources.

add_swift_library also no longer has the FILE_DEPENDS parameter, which
doesn't matter because llvm_add_library's DEPENDS parameter has the same
behavior.

328de9e280 [SR-1738] add_swift_library takes SHARED/STATIC arg
As a first step to allowing the build script to build *only*
static library versions of the stdlib, change `add_swift_library`
such that callers must pass in `SHARED`, `STATIC`, or `OBJECT_LIBRARY`.

Ideally, only these flags would be used to determine whether to
build shared, static, or object libraries, but that is not currently
the case -- `add_swift_library` also checks whether the library
`IS_STDLIB` before performing certain additional actions. This will be
cleaned up in a future commit.

034441a782 [cmake] Rename the variable HOST_LIBRARY => FORCE_BUILD_FOR_HOST_SDK in add_swift_library.
HOST_LIBRARY is supposed to mean "no matter what the defaults say, also build
this library for the host". FORCE_BUILD_FOR_HOST_SDK is a less confusing name.

f3500e4a3c lib/SwiftReflection shouldn't link libswiftCore
Although this is a target library, it does not need to link against
the standard library, because it doesn't have any Swift content in
it. We need to add a separate build flag for having CMake content
because saying a library "IS_STDLIB" isn't correct for this case.

52f475c0b0 Reflection: Preliminary implementation of struct and tuple type lowering
Now that we can parse and substitute typerefs, and look up field
types, we finally have enough infrastructure in place to do some
basic layout of struct and tuple types from within the Reflection
library.

To facilitate testing, swift-reflection-dump now accepts multiple
-binary-filename flags, allowing types defined in the standard
library to be looked up.

More detailed end-to-end tests will come once I finish the
typeref-to-metadata builder.

ffdc91a038 Add MetadataSource classes
The compiler is generally free to not include pointers to metadata in
heap boxes, which are used for closure captures, if it knows you can get
to metadata through some other path. These MetadataSource classes will
describe a sequence of steps to get to metadata at runtime.

In the short term, this will be useful for describing the layout of
function/closure capture contexts, which can vary depending on what is
captured.

cf97a12109 Tie lifetime of typerefs to the ReflectionContext
We will be handing pointers to typerefs over the SwiftRemoteMirrors C
API boundary, at which point it is unclear who will hold onto a shared
pointer. The useful lifetime of a typeref is tied to the
ReflectionContext for which they were created anyway so, when it goes
away, all of those typerefs can go away anyway.

We can't use LLVM's bump-pointer allocator here because we only build
the Support library for the host. As a compromise, stuff new typeref
pointers into a vector pool, where they will be taken down during
ReflectionContext's destructor.

e1eca69d1a Ensure swiftReflection is always built for the host
swift-reflection-dump, a host-side tool, requires this library that
normally builds for the configured platform. So, if the host platform
isn't configured to build for some reason, swift-reflection-dump will
fail to link.

5ea5bb06a3 Split swift-refleciton-test into host and target test targets
swift-reflection-test is now the test that forks a swift executable
and performs remote reflection, making it runnable on other targets,
such as the iOS simulator.

swift-reflection-dump is now a host-side tool that dumps the remote
reflection sections for any platform binary and will continue to
link in LLVM object file support.

This necessitates finally moving lib/Refleciton into stdlib/public,
since we're linking target-specific versions of the test tool and
we would eventually like to adopt some of this functionality in
the runtime anyway.
