8437819b5a [CMake] Revert recent changes.
These changes caused a number of issues:

1. No debug info is emitted when a release-debug info compiler is built.
2. OS X deployment target specification is broken.
3. Swift options were broken without any attempt any recreating that
functionality. The specific option in question is --force-optimized-typechecker.

Such refactorings should be done in a fashion that does not break existing
users and use cases.

e096d1c033 [CMake] Simplify add_swift_library
This patch splits add_swift_library into two functions one which handles
the simple case of adding a library that is part of the compiler being
built and the second handling the more complicated case of "target"
libraries, which may need to build for one or more targets.

The new add_swift_library is built using llvm_add_library, which re-uses
LLVM's CMake modules. In adapting to use LLVM's modules some of
add_swift_library's named parameters have been removed and
LINK_LIBRARIES has changed to LINK_LIBS, and LLVM_LINK_COMPONENTS
changed to LINK_COMPONENTS.

This patch also cleans up libswiftBasic's handling of UUID library and
headers, and how it interfaces with gyb sources.

add_swift_library also no longer has the FILE_DEPENDS parameter, which
doesn't matter because llvm_add_library's DEPENDS parameter has the same
behavior.

f63dff16c7 AST: Don't allow @_transparent on extensions
Quiz: What does @_transparent on an extension actually *do*?

1) Make all members @_transparent?
2) Allow your members to be @_transparent?
3) Some other magical effect that has nothing to do with members?

The correct answer is 1), however a few places in the stdlib defined
a @_transparent extension and then proceeded to make some or all members
also @_transparent, and in a couple of places we defined a @_transparent
extension with no members at all.

To avoid cargo culting and confusion, remove the ability to make
@_transparent extensions altogether, and force usages to be explicit.

2747d1eed8 Overlays: Fix tool not to find os as a dependency unless it depends on
os/activity.h or os/log.h. Update cmake files again, hardcoding a Darwin
dependency. The script does not notice that Foundation depends on
CoreGraphics, so add that manually.

Also found that MapKit is supported on WATCHOS but we didn't have dependencies
for that.

Favor one line per supported SDK instead of catch-all dependency lines.

Distinguish from SDKs which have no dependencies vs SDKs which are
unsupported on a particular platform by printing `unsupported` to the
console and remove the line in the cmake file because it should
not exist anyway.

This full cleanup was not done before because of circularity detected by the
util, which has since been fixed.

Support directories with spaces.

6c6f30b6af Overlays: The dependencies right now are approximate, and when new overlays are
added the build breaks. There's already a tool to get proper
dependencies, `utils/find-overlay-dependencies.sh`, so this patch
allows that tool to update the `CMakeLists.txt` files in-place.

Also it adds a line to the `CMakeLists.txt` files for each SDK so that the tool works.

f50b1e73dc Revert "Make all CF types Equatable and Hashable." 2016-08-20 04:33:55 -07:00

361ab62454 Make all CF types Equatable and Hashable. (#4394)
Like NSObject, CFType has primitive operations CFEqual and CFHash,
so Swift should allow those types to show up in Hashable positions
(like dictionaries). The most general way to do this was to
introduce a new protocol, _CFObject, and then have the importer
automatically make all CF types conform to it.

This did require one additional change: the == implementation that
calls through to CFEqual is in a new CoreFoundation overlay, but the
conformance is in the underlying Clang module. Therefore, operator
lookup for conformances has been changed to look in the overlay for
an imported declaration (if there is one).

3ebd53d03c AST: Name lookup shouldn't filter out static/instance methods from instance/static context
We do this in a more general way higher up in the constraint
solver. Filtering out methods in name lookup only hurts
diagnostics.

In fact I don't think this behavior was intentional at all,
since the code in question was originally written in 2013
before a lot of the more recent member lookup and diagnostic
code was added.

This does break source compatibility though, but in a minor
way. See the change to the CoreGraphics overlay. Again,
though, I think this was an accident and not intentional.

67e58f0c47 [Core Graphics] Rename several APIs to be more Swifty and consistent
This renames several APIs off of CGAffineTransform, CGPoint, CGSize,
CGColor, CGContext, CGRect, and CGColorSpace to have more consistent
names and Swifty names, in accordance with the Swift API Design
Guidelines.

At the same time, we drop many of the special mutating variants from
the overlays, as they are not typical CG usage and a historical
artifact. Test cases added for each.

9c08fbf4ed SE-0113 + residual SE-0067 work (#3443)
Implemented SE-0113 + residual SE-0067 operations.

- adds `rounded` and `round` to `FloatingPoint`, from SE-0113.
- adds `remainder`, `squareRoot`, and `addingProduct`, from SE-0067.
- adds basic test coverage for all of the above.
- provides a default implementation of `nextDown` on `FloatingPoint`.

328de9e280 [SR-1738] add_swift_library takes SHARED/STATIC arg
As a first step to allowing the build script to build *only*
static library versions of the stdlib, change `add_swift_library`
such that callers must pass in `SHARED`, `STATIC`, or `OBJECT_LIBRARY`.

Ideally, only these flags would be used to determine whether to
build shared, static, or object libraries, but that is not currently
the case -- `add_swift_library` also checks whether the library
`IS_STDLIB` before performing certain additional actions. This will be
cleaned up in a future commit.

6429eabf74 Implement the new FloatingPoint protocols from SE-0067.
There are a couple of features that are not yet implemented, because they require additions to the Builtin module. Specifically, this implementation does not have:

- formRemainder(dividingBy:)
- formSquareRoot()
- addProduct(_:,_:)

Also missing are the generic initializers and comparisons whose implementation depends on having new Integer protocols.

The last remaining feature of SE-0067 is that while the basic operators +,-,*,/, etc are moved onto the FloatingPoint protocol, they are still required on the concrete types in order to disambiguate overloads. Fixing this seems to require either modifying the overload resolution rules or removing these operators from some other protocols. Or it might just require that someone smarter than me looks at the problem.

Passes all the existing tests (with the included changes). I'm working on additional tests for the new features.
