[ Upstream commit43b6bf406c]525c9e5a32introduced pm_runtime support for the i.MX SPI driver. With this pm_runtime is used to bring up the clocks initially. When CONFIG_PM is disabled the clocks are no longer enabled and the driver doesn't work anymore. Fix this by enabling the clocks in the probe function and telling pm_runtime that the device is active using pm_runtime_set_active(). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
