Allow ASTWalker subclasses to specify whether
they want to visit lazy variable initializers as
part of the pattern binding, getter body, or not
at all.
Calling computeExtendedNominal() won't catch the case where the
extended type did not exist at extension binding time but then
appeared later, like an inferred associated type witness for
example.
Represent this in much the same way that collections do by creating an opaque value representing the source argument, and a conversion expression representing the destination argument.
The RequirementSignature generalizes the old ArrayRef<Requirement>
which stores the minimal requirements that a conforming type's
witnesses must satisfy, to also record the protocol typealiases
defined in the protocol.
We'd like to support factor initializers
for distributed actor types that are
synthesized by SILGen.
We already do something similar for
memberwise initializers for structs.
Thus, this patch generalizes that
concept into a new BodyKind for
AbstractFunctionDecls called
BodyKind::SILSynthesize.
In addition, to help differentiate the
kinds of AFDs that are SILSynthesized
into different families for SILGen to
recognize, we also have a new enum
SILSynthesizeKind to indicate whether it
is a memberwise init, etc.
The notion of "actor-isolated" currently exists at the declaration level.
For functions, it is going to be captured in the function type itself,
where 'self' is declared to be 'isolated'. Model isolation both
ways: the 'self' of a method that is isolated to an actor instance
will be 'isolated' as well.
We are still using declaration-based checking of actor isolation.
However, by mirroring this information we can move more incrementally
over to doing checking based on 'isolated' parameters.

With 'async' imports of Objective-C protocol requirements, a single
Objective-C method will produce two different requirements in the
protocol, with the same Objective-C selector. Teach the AST verifier
that it is sufficient for just one of the requirements with that
Objective-C selector to be satisfied by a witness.
Fixes rdar://72742910.
This follows the design of how we handled this with
sil-verify-all. Specifically, the default behavior is to run only in asserts
builds, but one can use the two flags: enable-ast-verifier and
disable-ast-verifier to override the default behavior.
The reason why this is interesting is that this means that when compiling
normally, we will not run the verifier, so we won't have a perf hit. But we can
now ask the user to run with this flag (or in a future maybe a re-run in the
driver would do this for them), saving us time when screening bugs by avoiding
the need to build an asserts compiler to triage if the ASTVerifier would catch
the bug.
In derivatives of loops, no longer allocate boxes for indirect case payloads. Instead, use a custom pullback context in the runtime which contains a bump-pointer allocator.
When a function contains a differentiated loop, the closure context is a `Builtin.NativeObject`, which contains a `swift::AutoDiffLinearMapContext` and a tail-allocated top-level linear map struct (which represents the linear map struct that was previously directly partial-applied into the pullback). In branching trace enums, the payloads of previously indirect cases will be allocated by `swift::AutoDiffLinearMapContext::allocate` and stored as a `Builtin.RawPointer`.
We used to wrap the base expression in an InOutExpr when accessing a
computed property. This was a vestigial remnant of differences in the
SILGen code paths for stored vs computed property access.
These days SILGen doesn't care and is perfectly happy to call getters
and setters with an LValueType base as well.
This allows us to remove the call to getAccessSemantics(), which for
a 'didSet', had to kick off type checking of the body.
Fixes <rdar://problem/69532933>.
Allow the declaration of @objc async methods, mapping them to a
completion-handler API in Objective-C. This covers most of the
checking and semantics within the type checker:
* Declaring @objc async methods and checking their parameter/result types
* Determining the default Objective-C selector by adding
completionHandler/WithCompletionHandler as appropriate
* Determining the type of the completion handler parameter
* Inferring @objc from protocol requirements
* Inferring @objc from an overridden method
Set the synthesized constructor's return result to nullptr and add an ASTVerifier check that the constructor's return statement does not contain a result.
```
class Generic<T> {
@objc dynamic func method() {}
}
extension Generic {
@_dynamicReplacement(for:method())
func replacement() {}
}
```
The standard mechanism of using Objective-C categories for dynamically
replacing @objc methods in generic classes does not work.
Instead we mark the native entry point as replaceable.
Because this affects all @objc methods in generic classes (whether there
is a replacement or not) by making the native entry point
`[dynamically_replaceable]` (regardless of optimization mode) we guard this by
the -enable-implicit-dynamic flag because we are late in the release cycle.
* Replace isNativeDynamic and isObjcDynamic by calls to shouldUse*Dispatch and
shouldUse*Replacement
This disambiguates between which dispatch method we should use at call
sites and how these methods should implement dynamic function
replacement.
* Don't emit the method entry for @_dynamicReplacement(for:) of generic class
methods
There is not way to call this entry point since we can't generate an
objective-c category for generic classes.

When deserializing, we delay parenting
GenericTypeParamDecls until we install the
GenericParamList on the parent declaration, using
a dummy parent of the ModuleDecl until this
happens.
However when deserializing GenericTypeParamTypes,
we don't necessarily get the opportunity to
deserialize the parent, leaving them with the
dummy parent.
We should probably consider not deserializing
GenericTypeParamDecls at all, we currently only do
it to preserve the sugar of the name, this could
be serialized on the type instead.
For now though, adjust the dummy parent to be the
SerializedASTFile, and tell the ASTVerifier to
skip verification for such generic params.
